I'm trying to buy a coat online, yet when it gives me sizes say, 58, It means nothing to me.

I am 188 cm tall, what sizing for a coat would I take in Euro and US sizes?
(pic not related)

At my girthiest, which was about 135 kilos at 184 cm, I wore size 56. So it's safe to say that would be a bit huge on you.
Just google Italian sizes.

Not sure exactly, only started looking at great coats in like the past half hour.

That being said I'm 188cm and 70kgs so I'm pretty slim. Stuff I've been looking at has sizes between 38-52 US and 48-60 Euro.

Ah now I see what you were referring to.

Actually I want a great coat because I live in a alpine valley and the winds through here are fucking insane and with normal coats, the wind will just cut straight through your legs.

If Greatcoats got people through stalingrad, then goddamn hook me up.

Try looking in military surplus stores first. Try them on with a suit, they are technically overcoats. The real ones are warm, but not usually comfortable against skin, so layers are important. I got mine there, get many compliments

Sheeeeit. I forgot how much I loved military-style coats. I need to hit up some surplus stores before I decide to get a Burberry trench coat off ebay.

There's a Soviet Marshal's coat similar to the one in OP's pic for about $4,500 on eBay.

Then another $4,500 for a Soviet Marshal's summer white uniform.

Damn I wish I had money to cop all this cool shit.

Buy a fabric tape measure. You should then wrap this around your chest, just above the nipple. This will give you a chest size, from which other measurements or educated guesses can be derived.
If I were you, I would then wrap the tape measure around my neck until I realised how stupid I am.

If you are looking at military coats, especially surplus, be aware many of them are made with a deliberately overlarge size. This is to allow space for the accompanying uniform or winter layers that are, in theory, worn underneath. As an example, I have a 48" chest at 6'2. XL or XXL fit me for most items. I recently bought an overcoat in 42" and it fit perfectly.
Absolute chance as to whether or not an unknown brand will do this. Good luck.
