dear /fa/

I'll be studying abroad this fall/winter, and I'm looking for a good pair of all-purpose boots to get before I leave. Something that will look good enough to wear most days around town/to classes, but sturdy/resistant enough to wear on days when its pouring/snowing. Ideally something in the brown leather department.

pic are my dream boots, but at 320 with only one review, no idea if they are worth it

Japanland. Wont be there for the summer rains, but it gets snowy in the winter, or so I've heard.

>>6355404
Ive been thinking about Palladiums, though their form factor isnt ideal, I suppose its a decent backup

japan does indeed get snowy, though of course it depends whereabouts you'll be.
what's your budget?

Tokyo, though I plan to travel a bit arounds.
Budget might go up into $200, if that. I'm pretty poor by /fa/ standards.

>>6355487
Thanks, will look through. First glance says terrifyingly expensive, though.

>>6355500
If I am recognizing these correctly, I've actually ordered 'em, and the quality was downright horrendous.

I'm stroking my dick to these right now. Where would I cop these? Also, anyone have any other good looking WW2 era looking boots?

I know Atthefront has repros, at least they did last I was there. They do a lot of WWII repros, but I can't vouch for their quality.

>not wearing tanker boots

Pic related would be god tier if they didn't have a fucking zipper on the back.

OP, your best bet for casual boots that can handle wet weather are cordovan boots with a storm welt and a rubber sole (dainite/victory/commando/etc).

But cordovan is probably out of your price range. Pick up a pair in brown calf and just buy some SWIMs mobster boot galoshes. Keep them in your bag in case it rains.

Then don't complain that it's still shit if the originals are too.

Of course, I say they have the DAK boots, and guess what, they do, but only in size 7.

Guess I'll have to keep looking for them
