It depends on what design you wanted. Post which one you were thinking of. Honestly, they are all DOABLE but a lot of them would have to be blown up quite a bit due to the detail. Really fine, close lines won't show up well and will eventually bleed together and look like a smudge. Your choices are usually make the image bigger or alter it so there isn't as much detail.

That actually looks pretty simple, you should be able to get that done at just about any size you want. Only thing I can tell you is that the micro dots he used as shading would have to be done by a decent artist to look good otherwise they will just use like a number 12 shading needle. The way they do those type of dot shading is using a sparse needle and gently shading an area, I have a tattoo with similar shading on my leg. It takes experience to do well.

Traditional style is cool though!! It has never gone out of fashion, and they stand the test of time. You just have to be creative with them.
I'd say they're probably my second favorite style of tattooing.
