I've got a pair of black derbies being resoled with a ripple sole right now, I'm going to be wearing those quite a bit.

Other than that, these New Balances (CM1500UA, another United Arrow collab), a pair of really beat to hell brown leather chukkas, and whatever skate sneaker I pick up next (Probably just going to go with some suede Vans.)

yeah the fresh out of high school ppl tend to struggle a lot.

all the ppl i hang out with have previous degrees, one girl makes these insane textured 3d pleated things with like old tree material and she is 28 and has a accountant degree of some kind.

other girl has a fine art degree from usc and makes these crazy draping things, and surreal bustiers. she is 27

other dude has interior design background and furniture design, he is from thailand and he is killer good at draping, he is 34.

but they are all basically the best in terms of design at my school, all much older.

I'd like to have a more formal, adult shoe, but every single one i have tried has an utterly worthless sole. Why the fuck would i want a shoe that i cant use to walk around in?

And I dont want to risk 400+€ by getting a "proper" shoe and having it resoled with a good rubber sole, because either i have to go to a shoemaker who can work with leather soles, and will probably fuck up the climbing sole, or I have to go to a shoemaker used to working with climbing shoes who will fuck up the leather sole.

Its not just generic Vibram, its a softer rubber, and a very low profile sole. I cant wear anything else, without having to walk like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel because my feet are slipping and sliding all over the place.

For regular Roshes go TTS and their comfy. The woven ones I have a bit more narrow with less stretch so most people size up half which is what I did and it fits nice.
