How can you change the color of leather? I know there won't be a significant change in color, but are some things you can do? Any way to achieve this chromexcel effect if the leather wasn't originally treated like that?

How does sunlight affect leather? Should darken them, right?

Skin gets darker in sunlight because your body is producing more melanin. Leather is dead, preserved tissue, it doesn't produce melanin anymore.

oil will darken it if its dry

I have a somewhat related question: Has anyone here tried waxing their suede boots? I kind of like the effect but I hear it's very hard to do right. Are there other ways to make suede less suede-ish?
