jesus christ
where I live, dressing like this to college would get you laughed at

tone it done by simply removing the blazer. now you have a nice pair of chinos and a button up shirt. good to go!

>> No.6187398

People that dress like that at universities always look like fucking chumps.

It's even worse when frat boys do it and wear their fraternity colors.

>> No.6187402

it's too much for a student given that your peers might not get dressier than denim

these.

OP, this is seriously messed up, dont even attempt. MUCH too formal for college. We laugh at people like that here, and I'm studying law

remove the blazer or at least switch it out for an unstructured one and a button down or a t shirt

It looks too...showy for the average university?
Untucked shirt and darker pants? I generally have a dislike for lighter colors so if you can pull it off, by all means, ignore me.

pic related is a fit from when we had that college style thread where everyone searched for fits posted on some site from there uni. This was one of the few that IMO looked pretty decent.

now what would you say if you saw someone at a college like ucla or berkely?

>> No.6187424

why would you dress like that regularly for college

i think part/most of the appeal of formal outfits lies in novelty - it's more impressive to see it rarely, otherwise you'll just become a lame sort of caricature

but i mean if you're into that..

While this question wasn't directed at me, I would laugh at someone getting that dressed up for school regardless of where it was.

It doesn't matter how prestigious the place is, it doesn't change the fact that you would be grossly overdressing for something very informal. Not to mention it just isn't very comfortable/practical.

What about gothninja attire for college?

I don't think it should matter. Plus, I'd imagine people dress like shit there too given that I went to high school with the majority demographic of those schools: STEM Asians who cared very little for improving their appearances.

>> No.6187521

For evening classes, not necessarily, because you get more night-school students who have full-time jobs after 5pm or so.

For daytime undergrad classes, yes. Lose the blazer, or if it's cool replace it with a cardigan or something.

I've worn a similar fit to evening classes a couple of times, but only because I was either in the city job hunting beforehand, or was going out immediately after

>> No.6187567

You should never wear anything at college that would ever have to be dry cleaned, unless you're meeting someone of notoriety, speaking publicly, or graduating.

Dry cleaning is a bitch.

I agree with you about 95% but in upper level courses, students will have internships, jobs, interviews and so forth. While I rarely see blazer, I do see who are somewhat dressed up everyday. This is because they have jobs.

>> No.6189279

that outfit 10/10 id wear it to a party or a pub for a night out but not to class
