yes. Other people will tell you no but I've developed a secret formula for being /fa/ and metal. Get some leather jackets from yesstyle (the only ones considered /fa/), get your chains from wherever, combat boots. For underneath the leather wear your band shirts. When it's cold, throw a zip hoodie underneath it, cool take the hoodie out, warm ditch the outerwear. Your pants will consist mostly of black/gray jeans or dark chinos. Make sure they have a lot of pockets for your chains. Most of the stuff you'll need is on yesstyle. oh and hair: ponytail or spiky

just understand what metal is about and what being /fa/ is about and you'll be able to pull it off. you won't be /fa/ by dressing in leather jackets and band tees with tore up jeans. neither will you be metal by dressing gothninja or dadcore.

find the happy medium in between that works for you. throw a band tee or a leather jacket in the mix with a good fit. keep your hair long but dress nice so you don't look like a bum or stoner. get fit and rock the sleeveless look.

it's an experiment and it won't be easy. metal is typically hyper-masculine and not really /fa/ by nature.

Most of the time, no. It's like having long hair. You have to look good to pull it off, and also add trendy elements, which usually goes against the metal culture or look. Most metal heads unless they're heavily into glam, thrash, or screamo, find skinny jeans to be the bane of metal and consider it faggy. I personally, think you can make it work.

Take this picture for example. I post this every time someone makes a thread like this. Adds more trendy modern elements that most metal heads would be against, but still is subtle enough to compliment it and look presentable in public. You could also add pastel goth elements like what hipsters do with the whole black metal thing with giant white inverted crosses.
