My hair has driven me insane my entire life. My family and female friends say I'm lucky to have wavy hair, but I don't see why. Everytime I go to the barber, they always fuck it up even worse.

I want a nice cut that I can keep medium length, but still look professional (I'm starting student teaching soon).

I'd like to be able to slick it back like this guy, or have it be flowy. How do get my hair cut? What do I ask for?

I've read the sticky, I bought nice clothes, I use great posture, and look like not a piece of crap anymore. I feel great about my appearance, but the haircut has evaded me for 27 years. I have no idea what to do...and every time I read up and go for it, it comes out shitty. I have the same type of hair. I buzz the sides to get an army cut, but leave the top part and you can slick it back or put it to the side. Works well for me (I think)..
