I've never heard a short woman be all butthurt about their height, mostly because it's perfectly acceptable to wear stupidly high heels if they have a problem with it.

Thinking off the top of my head (really do need a picture of your figure, although you sound quite curvy)

If you have thick thighs, think tight a line skirts, just above the knee in your case, although past the knee does lengthen your leg, it might have the opposite effect if no heels.

Stay away from high waisted everything, you have a short torso, do NOT make it shorter, although a lot of smaller women love it for some ungodly reason.

You are a very curvy girl, on a short girl it can make you look stubby however, you should aim for block colours, or patterns that have black panneling on the sides, emphasise your waist, try stay away from mid belts, unless they are VERY thin, think cord like.

Wearing a thin belt like that will bring contrast, but it will also be a comparision point to some of your friends who might be wearing bigger belts like that.

Also, dont be afraid to wear your hair up, or have it short, long hair can make you seem smaller, short hair/wearing it up will draw attention to your neck and lengthen it.

I've not given much consideration for a-line skirts to be fair (partially because most of them are of awkward length) but I will be on the look out now.

Thank you for the belt tip as well, my favourite one used to be one that is about 2 inches in width, I shall stay away from it from now on.

I do have my hair short already, nice to know that was a good move.
