elderly wives of Parisian multimillionaires, Russian oligarchs and Arabian sheikhs are the only ones able to buy the clothes so yeah they're the only niche that fills the criteria

every designer has his or her share of shitty garments, even poell or altieri

thats not zam barrett but those are his clothes. generally his clothes only look good on short, stocky people because he designs it for himself.

the quality is pretty much the same as you'll get from most brands that cost more, fabric and construction is very good but the cuts are usually not that flattering

he's been improving though

>He's just trying too hard to be different.

You're trying too hard to sound like you know what you're talking about. Most of what he has to offer are just things already explored by other designers without much innovation. There's nothing that would make me think he's trying too hard to be different.

Moreover, your comment about the "technical aspect" being the only hard part about designing clothes is all the proof one needs to know you don't know shit about what you're talking about. I'm not surprised though, most of you don't even understand the point of designer clothing, if it weren't for the labels and other people telling you what's good you'd be fucking clueless.

Have you guys...Seen any GP lately? He's stepped up his game (even though no one buys).

Why is LEU bad? I don't like a lot of what they do but I definitely think it brings a bit of innovation to sort of alt. take on contemporary menswear.

Nothing is worse than ZB's design though, p.sure there's a image up here w/ the zippers on the jacket vents etc...
He's really echchcchc ;s

Lumen et Umbra has some nicer pieces from its early days. However, I even think brands like Augusta are shit because they are rip offs of Carpe Diem rather than doing anything innovative.

Augusta was part of Capie Diem...He broke off (among many others)...They do different things but of course due to their shared history a lot of the design may be perceived as similar...
In reality it's just inherent of the values the designers share in their work.
Carpe DIem is very much a sort of introduction to a set of values for a designer imo.

Are you...rusing me?
Shirts aren't a new thing either fucking cloth is not a new thing but it gets reproduced and remodeled w/ relative success.

It doesn't have to be a NEW thing.

LEU's knits are fresh in the way they're constructed (weave, pattern, shape, construction, weight, textile use, etccttcctctct).

Sleeve construction is not TOTALLY new but it sure is different and innovative.

I think we just value different things in design...
You value...Space ships and in impracticality I guess?
