I went to the club awhile ago, and there were a bunch of white bro types all wearing cargo shorts and those ugly American Eagle/Abercrombie/Aeropostale/Hollister shirts with the logos and all that shit on them. I named them all because I seriously can't tell which brand is which.
While everyone else were at least somewhat /fa/. All the black guys looked varied from each other, with different styles and such, all the white girls were fat and look like blobs in all this wannabe fancy black shit that was not for this type of club. The black girls all look like sluts, and I was alright with that.

Moral of the story? I don't wear them because to me they represent 9th grade for me, and are associated with bros. And they just look corny as fuck.

I remember when I had to get new shorts for PE, maybe around 2010, I went around looking at the 'normal' places and department stores, and I'm assuming because of the influence of the NBA, you could not get shorts that ended above your knees. Couldn't, no way, no how.
I ended up having to go to a sports specific store to get soccer shorts, and the next year to a military supply place to get PT shorts.

I've never seen anyone else wear actually short shorts except for my one friend, who was tormented for it.
I really haven't seen a change since then, and I've been out of high school for years.
