OP here.

My mom is foreign and will not enjoy opera tickets or musicals. We are also kind of a busy family at the moment. She likes to cook, but I don't want to give her more chores right now cause like I said, we're busy running a business together (the family is, anyways).

I'm for serial. No opera tickets. I mean like, maybe later on opera tickets. But I've never seen her enjoy a musical/opera and now probably aint the time to get her something way out of left field.

Well, I know it sounds wrong and materialistic but I always get my dad pretty nice expensive things cause he's big on karaoke and audio hardware is expensive.

My mom has felt kinda left out lately when it comes to gifts. I mean I try. I got her a microfiber robe and a lemon tree and a lime tree... I want to get her something really fancy this time around that she can keep for a long time and kinda show off.

May be materialistic but its who we are. Also again, there is not much time for that. I will probably be doing something with her on her birthday anyways, regardless of what I get her.
