Hey /fa/,
I have a fairly good wardrobe that I'm happy with, the only issue is that it marginally reads too formal/dadcore at times.

It's alot of casual button down shirts and above the knee shorts in plaides of different color palettes. I have salmon colored shorts too, and a ton of dress shirts that I wear with sleeves rolled up.

Also I have this really shitty black vest hoodie from h&m.

So like, what should I do to add 'edge'. I dig punk styles if that helps, but I know that can go full autist fast. So what do you suggest?

tl;dr
For a wardrobe that is verging on 'dadcore' what shit can do to give 'edge'

pic related, I don't want to look like this

Is his outfit supposed to be serious? I can't tell. Why has it come to a point where men have to wear a skirt or jeans that split at the knees on a runway to be considered fashion forward? What happened to wearing a shirt and khakis. Hell I know guys who wear suits everyday. I just don't understand why male fashion has become so effeminate.

also look at the portraits of guys throughout history. I bet most of them look more effeminate than most of the guys today.

I'm sure I could be argued against here that there are freedom of movement benefits and whatnot, but aside from Scotland and the like, in what modern societies are skirts a non-feminine clothing article outside of cross-dressing communities?
