Sup /fa/

Going to prom in a couple of months (18 year old) and need a suit. I have one currently but it's a hand me down from my brother who was chubby so it fits like shit. Are there any cheap suits I can get? I was thinking Uniqlo but other suggestions are welcome, also inspo pictures welcome, obviously it's formal so Nick Wooster etc isn't what I want, unless he looks like he's going to a prom.

I have a girlfriend who likes the way I dress normally (acne/lanvin/raf with some dumb fruity stuff like Cassette Playa) so I don't need to worry about impressing girls but I'd rather look better than the other people in my year, this gem was just put on facebook and I'm expecting most of them will wear the same things for prom

It's really boxy, like fat person fit, and I'm just a bit more athletic than ottermode so it can't really be taken in that much, and rented suits always seem to be disgusting

who gives a fuck, they sure don't

it's fine if you want to dress well but I don't get why we feel superior when we impose our values on plebes

I don't feel superior, I'd just rather not look like they do there, I'm not going to walk around being a cunt I'd just rather look what I perceive to be nice

What's your budget OP?

If we have the same definition of cheap, I highly suggest suitsupply or yoox, the latter being the more expensive alternative, but you can find some real gems there (full canvas construction).

I'd go for a gray one, avoid black suits at all costs. A nice combination is a light blue shirt, navy tie (preferably dotted) and brown shues + belt. If the fit is good, you'll look better dressed than 99% of your peers.

Aren't you supposed to wear tuxedos to proms? They're like black tie

>>5971779

Not in England, or at least none of the proms I've been aware of

I was thinking Yoox but it's so inconsistent and I'm a 46 and everything nice there is normally a 50/52. I'm pale and blonde if this affects my colour choice. I already have a nice white shirt I am going to use so any colours which would look nice with a white shirt would be ideal.

every colour looks good with a white shirt

It's prom, so let's face it OP you don't need anything expensive to excel. At school prom fit > everything, nobody gets it right.
Next have some nice suits on sale at the moment.
