how to gain weight?
i don't get how people get fat the fuck

>> No.5967132

At one point I intentionally gained weight. I would get stoned and eat double cheeseburgers for every meal - the most importantthing was I had to sit on my ass and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and I was able to gain ten pounds. I don't know how people get far either - you truly have to be lazy-ass garbage disposal

>> No.5967138

>>5967132
you didn't get fat because you quit, and because it sounds like you failed to supplement your diet with soda by the liter.

>> No.5967141

I love hearing "anon" you're so skinny. I've had to actually convince them if I sit around and do nothing but eat - I gain weight like anyone else

>> No.5967159

>>5967132
Alternatively to gain mass you could buy as much protein as you can within your budget and hit the gym.

That's assuming you're going for muscle mass versus fat, I personally like to stay with low body fat.

I tried that for a few months last year, but I kept biking off all those calories, I guess. After 3-4 months of melted icecream and double cheeseburgers, all I had to show for it was +5 lbs.
Just wait, man. As you age your metabolism will slow down and you'll start packing it on.

>> No.5967466

>>5967132
Well, I gained 20 pounds when I hit puberty. I was still normally active and only ate healthy food. I think it's cause stress makes me hungry? I'm not sure, I'm just hungry all the time and there's no way I can stop it.

I've lost weight by counting calories and now I try to eat as little as possible.

>> No.5967511

>>5967254
No clue, it depends for each person. 20 min/day is more than doable. It also depends if you're a good runner, have asthma, etc.

I have excercise induced diarrhea so I can't do cardio for more than 20 minutes if it's running, 30/40 if it's biking, and if I'm close to my period forget about anything because as soon as I'm out the door I'll get cramps so bad I'll barely crawl home.

>> No.5967578

>>5967511

thank you so much for the tips. I need to lose like 15 more pounds before I'm happy with my weight loss

>> No.5967581

If you wanna lose it fast and unhealthily I have advice.
Stop eating all dairy, milk, cheese all that.
Download a fitness app that tracks calories and make sure to burn more calories than you eat.
I suggest eating less than 700 calories per day. This made me just over 86 pounds so it will work, but it's not good.

>> No.5967587

>>5967578
Are you watching what you eat? That's really important. Exercise is good for health and overall shape (A body with more muscle looks far thinner than a body with none at the same weight), but if you don't watch your diet too it will be useless.

>> No.5967601

>>5967587

Yeah, I'm doing my best to track calories using MyFitnessPal. Trying to keep my calories at around 1000 per day give or take 200 either way.

As for exercise I go to the gym around 4-5 times a week. I mainly do weightlifting and have started to see my body tone up yet my weight has basically been the same over the past two months.

I'm guessing I should increase my cardio because I tend to skip out on that

You can get model skinny at 1200 cals/day and exercise. If you have a large bone frame then it's useless because you'd look gross at that size. I've seen a girl with knees larger than her thighs!

>> No.5967696

It's also a cup of cooked veggies (50), a 4 egg white omelette (75), a cup of almond milk (70), a chicken breast (150), 3 cups raw veggies (~100), and you still have 50 or so left.

>> No.5967699

why are you eating the whites and not the yolk
why are your veggies unseasoned
why haven't you accounted for your cooking fat

>> No.5967705

>>5967699
also, why are you pointing that out as if it's a complete day's nutrition

>> No.5967716

>>5967699
Because you don't need cooking fat
I eat veggies with salt+pepper alone, or hot sauce
I usually eat 1 whole egg (72), but if you eat egg whites you get a lot more protein for the same calories. Oh, and for salad dressing just use balsamic vinegar and mustard (10+10=20 cals if you use a lot).

Personally I eat 1200 or so per day when I'm dieting because I have a fast metabolism, but I'm just saying 500 is pretty doable if you're careful.

>> No.5967740

>>5967716
look, body composition is a reflection of lifestyle, and there really aren't any shortcuts. you yourself just admitted to having to compromise your lifestyle to achieve a body composition that you think you must have.

i stay skinny without sacrificing the quality of my life because i'm not so fucking horrified at my own pantswaist that i cut butter and beer from my diet entirely.

my only guess is that your strict avoidance of healthy fat has atrophied your brain

>> No.5967762

>>5967740
Again, I said that I chose not to do this because I rather lose weight in a healthy way, just pointing out that you can get a lot of bang for your buck if you do chose to go incredibly low cal.

Personally I love cooking my things in olive oil, eating avocado, cheese, fish, nuts, and the occasional ice cream cone or chocolate.

Sure it would. If you measure basal metabolic rate (not estimate, measure using CO2 exhaled for example) it would be pretty different. You can actually predict which kids will get fat later in life by measuring their BMR

Some days you fast and only drink water, other you drink some kind of low fat energy drink, but no food at all and My BMI is around 16.5. Also, try drinking things like herbal tea, its very little calories and stops cravings. If you're fasting, try and have a normal day every few days to keep metabolism normal
