Gonna get my first pair of quality raws. is APC still the gold standard around these parts?

Also advice on sizing/fit/prepping/tailoring. I think I just wanna wear them, no soaking or anything. Petit Standard or New Standard?

I can recommend the japanese Edwins as a first pair. Quite a bit cheaper but great fit. I strongly suggest trying them on first though and buying them so they are a BIT tight at first, especially if it's the current collection.

fuck apc's. decent cut is set back by shitty paper-feeling starched-to-fuck denim and terrible hardware. these things have gone up in price every year and take a nosedive in quality every year as well.

get some unbranded's over APC any day, for sub-100 you're getting the same thing. or naked and famous if you want to spend about the same as you'd drop on apc's but get something better in absolutely every way.

or you could save your money and buy anything from blueingreen or selfedge or something

OP here. I copped some Unbrandeds for $10 from UO when they were phasing them out. They got lost with the rest of almost all my clothes in a hurricane though. The denim itself seemed great, but the dye not so much.

I don't get what people have against APC. I've been wearing mine for about a week now and they look and feel great IMO, the fades on them already look pretty cool and they make my ass look better than any other jeans I've worn. The fades should be pretty awesome in a few weeks

sure they're just a tad expensive and they're not the best quality jeans for their price tag (despite being very good)
but please give me jeans that have better cuts (lol n&f nope), fade quicker and better, and are actually widely available
