why are you making problems and conflicts where there are none? There is no need for any kind of fashion "schism" or whatever you may think is necessary.

You are clearly a newfag, and I don't mean that as an insult, but you need to stay here for longer than a week before making sweeping statements like "we got to settle this once and for all" and pasting your unripe opinion on this board.

On the off-chance that you are not a newfag, but rather a /mfa/ or /fit/ transplant or whatever, I have to teach you a lesson here. Fashion, in the broader sense of the term, is not something you can boil down to an infographic, like you can with basic clothing fits and lifting routines, because it is simply not a "scientific" pursuit with very strict guidelines and boundaries like fitness for example.

Trying to fit an outift into gothninja or dadcore (terrible buzzwords btw) is a pointless pursuit because what is dadcore? A shirt? Leather Soles? Brogues?
and what is gothninja? Drapes? Rick Owens? Black?
what if I wear all-black brogued Prada creepers with a Jil Sander marble print shirt and Yohji hakamas? Am I dadcore (I'm wearing brogues and a buttonup) or gothinja (I'm wearing black and drapey facbric)
What am I? and most importantly WHY am I trying to fit into a box like that?

One thing I love about fashion in general, is how it is fluid, there are no boundaries, no limits, no boxes to tick off. Only inspiration and cloth. I understand that the STEM types that venture on mfa are used to that kind of engineered approach to something like fashion but it's simply impossible to console the both together.
The gossamer of fashion is not something you can put in a neat little box and attach a label to.

Knowing how to dress conservatively and knowing how clothes should fit (something that should be a basic human skill and that your parents should have thought you when you were still a kid) =/= fashion
