But if you have seen even one episode of Next Topmodel, you know that being a runway model is more about bein able to walk down the runway in a proper way, posture, and so on.

Most importantly: you need to match the look, that the designer wants to create on the runway. And most designer almost don't want the models to be so pretty that they distract from the clothes.

That's why the runway models are often meh-looking.
