So say you're a size 12, you'll probably need to get a size 11.5 for the 990v6.

not right now but a few over the years. they're quality and well made. be aware the soles on shoes like pottery and most of the moon star line are on the soft side so expect them to be comfortable but maybe not last forever compared to something with a harder sole.
converse's made in japan line are manufactured by the same company who makes shoes like pottery the main difference being the outsoles on the converses are a harder rubber thus last longer (at a small hit to comfort)

never buy gore tex / waterproof membrane shoes.
they're not actually waterproof but they make your foot sweat like no other.
i'm too lazy to look those up but they probably don't have a gusseted tongue or anything actually making it waterproof.
so its basically just a mesh upper but worse in every single way.
NOT buying waterproof membrane shoes like those is common knowledge in the outdoors and techwear community.
go on /out/ or /r/ultralight or idk any hiking forum and ask if you don't believe me they'll suggest gore tex socks with a normal shoe or leather boots.
