I dunno, but it's weirdly accurate. Roughly 90%of dudes aged 15-35 dress like this.

by definition, a peasant cannot be effay. Peasant clothing is defined by the cheapest materials and whatever is immediately available, with little allowed deviation.

It's good but it only applies to neopeasants living in the city. Rural neopeasants dress nothing like this and behave nothing like this.

No, peasant clothing WAS defined by the cheapest materials and whatever is immediately available, with little allowed deviation. In the 21st century clothes are cheap enough that a small amount of deviation is possible for most people, even in poor countries. Only people poorer than peasants have 0 choice.

How do the rural ones dress and behave.

Yeah.

In 2019.

It’s the exact opposite. Rich people clothing became like peasant clothing in its cheapness and lack of durability.

These men are healots not peasants. Peasant implies certain reciprocal rights in exchange for their status and labour obligations to their lord. E.g. right to so much land to grow stuff and graze animals on, the right to use footpaths and bridle ways across the lords land and so on and a million and one ultra specific rights particular to a given area (e.g. in Belgium it’s illegal for the state to seize your last cow and your last 20 chickens).

An actual neo-peasant would be like what I’ve described but taking advantage of modern materials, division of labour and global trade. This leads me to believe a neopeasant would dress like his majesty King Charles III when he’s dressed casually and in the countryside. Barbour jacket, check shirt, wool or thick cotton trousers and wellington boots (the old fashioned leather variety if you want an old timey look or the modern rubber sort if you want to lean into the “neo” of neopeasantry).

I get what you’re going for with the chart and it’s still quite amusing.
