Squid is the most intresting one out of those, with sweet ink and incense notes.
Megamare is REALLY STRONG synthetic musk with salty notes.
Black sea is a heavier twist on an aquatic, without going for notes other than the typical stuff, its just simply heavier and saltier.
Oud minerale is salty, slightly metalic with hints of musk, the lightest out of all of those.

I live in bumfuck nowhere with little chance to smell anything at the store. But now I had the chance in a big city, they had just about everything, so I took the opportunity to smell some well known stuff I always see people talking about

>Xerjoff Erba Pura
Smells like a fruit basket. I kinda like it.
>Nishane Ani
Bleh. This stings, I don't get the hype at all.
>Mancera Red Tobaco
It gets a bit better after a while but jesus the start blasts you away and it's not pleasant.
>Amouage Reflection Man
Wonderful, clean, flowery, maybe one day I'll afford this.
>Hermes Terre d'Hermes (EDT and P)
It's like grabbing a dry handful of dirt from the ground and shoving your nose in there. The P felt a bit "rounder", but I wouldn't get either, not quite for me.
>Tom Ford Ombre Leather
It's literally leather. I don't know what to say. Nice.
>Tom Ford Noir Extreme
I really couldn't tell you what's all in there, it smells like a mixture of many things, maybe a bit of rose, wood, something sweet, but I really liked it.
>Armani Stronger With You Intensely
What a letdown, I've had better winter scents for 7 bucks at a drug store. It's so generic.
>Parfums de Marly Layton Exclusif
I don't know the normal Layton, but I enjoyed this one, though not enough to where I would pay for a bottle.
>Guerlain L'homme ideale extreme
Damn that's some amazing plum, afterwards it smells more like honey to me. I know there's no honey in there, but somehow this cinnamon and almond combo makes me think of it. Amazing, I'll get one soon. Definitely for cold weather.

Had an hour to kill today, so I hit up a couple of stores and sampled a fuckton of fragrances. Here are some of my findings:
>Allure Homme Édition Blanche is my favorite from the Allure line, that lemon note is pure magic. My only resentment is that I feel like it leans unisex, which is something I try to avoid. Does anyone have experience wearing it? Would like any kind of input on this one.
>Finally sampled Cerruti 1881 Pour Homme, I've seen it get recommended here a lot. While it's very pleasant, this is a textbook grandpa frag for me. I can't imagine somebody younger than 60 pulling this off. Very glad I never blind bought it.
>Paco Rabanne is synthetic goyslop that rapes my nussy. Spraying this on is what getting cummed on by robots must feel like. Ironically enough, I found Phantom to be the most tolerable, much better than the 1 milly and Invictues lines.
>The new JPG Le Beau Paradise Garden mogs the shit out of the previous two versions, which are almost always sold out where I live by the way. It's really big with zoomers, the bottle design is really appealing to them and they buy them up like there's no tomorrow. Even the testers are almost always empty in any store I go to.
>Versace The Dreamer is fucking nice and I'm thinking about picking up a bottle. Really hope it gets a little hype and won't get discontinued down the line.
>The entire Terre d'Hermès line is perfect and worth picking up. Eau Givree is probably my favorite, but it's really hard to decide between them.

Allure Homme Edition Blanche doesn't lean unisex. Maybe the vanilla note makes you feel it's more unisex, but the woody notes remove all trace of that.

I’m a huge fan of theirs, but I can still admit a lot of their frags are very hit or miss.

Iron Duke as I said is just this gloriously masculine scent that has one of the best scent evolutions I’ve tried.
Acrasia is my other favorite by them, personally I get a bubblegum sweetness at the top from the jasmine and then a metallic dry down, but I think not many others get the jasmine bubblegum association I do.
Tonnerre is regarded by many (rightfully so) as one of if not THE loudest, room filling-est fragrances out there. It’s heavy on smoke but has this very faint aquatic note underneath of it that I love. Not something you can really wear in public though.
‘Terror and Magnificence’ and ‘Rake and Ruin’ are both excellent but pretty similar imo. Peppery earthy.
The rest are varying degrees of misses for me. Their newest release Absent Presence is not bad but relatively safe and boring, dusty lemon. Fathom V is a generic floral (to me) not a fan of most florals. Coeur de Noir is a musty, dirty leather. Again not terrible but not for me.
Lignum Vitae is their take on a gourmand, and it’s a weird one. Very off brand for them, and not something they do well imo.
Finally I think Vi Et Armis is their worst, the opium note just turns my stomach pretty fiercely, on board with Secretions Magnifiques for worst smelling frag.

Mefisto
Mefisto Gentiluomo
40 Knots
Torino21
Naxos

>PdM
Haltane
Percival
Sedley
Greenley
Layton
Kalan

>Louis Vuitton
Imagination
Afternoon Swim
Orage

>Dior
Bois d'Argent

All except 2 were disappointing, ranging from meh to terrible. The only ones I would actually enjoy wearing regularly are Orage and Bois d'Argent. Arguably the gentlest, most delicate of the bunch. They smell refined. Perhaps that's just my personal taste coming through. They are lovely. But all the others smell cheap, as weird as it sounds. Harsh, sharp edges, offensively synthetic, overly sweet, ordinary, even unpleasant scents for extraordinary prices. Any combination of those. I know my opinion goes way against the majority, but I guess those frags just aren't for me.

Do you ever find the woodiness overpowering? I grabbed a bottle but I'm struggling to enjoy it while wearing it; I can smell that there's something incredible going on there under the surface, but its all utterly overwhelmed by a massive dose of pure ISO E. Similar to >>18016902 I keep them both for the presentation as well as a reminder to keep the collection small. It also has the added bonus that if for w/e reason you need to move them all you have solid storage option.
I don’t put them back inside though, I set the bottles in front of the box.

Apparently a controversial house but frankly I think the best answer is they’re like *most* other niche houses - they have good stuff and they have bad stuff. Only sniffed 4-5 of their frags, but I love Burning Barbershop, nothing else wowed me.

Hmm. Never got that from any frag I own, but maybe it’s because they’re all normal stuff. Nothing super expensive or fancy.

1. **Know your preferences**: Determine if you prefer floral, fruity, woody, or oriental scents.
2. **Test before you buy**: Always try a fragrance on your skin before purchasing to see how it reacts with your body chemistry.
3. **Consider the occasion**: Choose lighter scents for daytime and more intense ones for evening events.
4. **Seasonal considerations**: Opt for fresh, citrusy scents for summer and warmer, spicier scents for winter.
5. **Take your time**: Don't rush the decision; let the scent develop on your skin over time before making a final choice.
6. **Think about longevity**: Consider how long you want the scent to last; some fragrances fade quickly while others linger all day.
7. **Check the ingredients**: Be aware of any ingredients you may be allergic to, and avoid fragrances containing them.
8. **Trust your instincts**: Ultimately, go with the fragrance that makes you feel confident and happy when you wear it.

Repplies at her fucking desk during the day.

Is it really worth it or overhyped and can be skipped?

This is what I pictured. Most black women I know smell like cocoa butter lotion. Not sure about asian or brown women.

I keep using it until it runs out. If you really don't like it that much, you can give it to the homeless

I usually try to gift fragrances that I don't enjoy to friends or family who might appreciate them more. It feels better than just throwing it away, you know?

Well, when I'm stuck with a fragrance I'm not vibing with, I usually just stash it away somewhere and hope I forget about it. Maybe one day I'll randomly rediscover it and give it another shot.

Well, if you're not into the fragrance, you could always use it as a conversation starter. Like, leave it out on display and when someone asks about it, you can launch into a whole spiel about how it's not your thing but you're keeping it as a reminder to be more cautious with blind buys. Silly, I know, but hey, it might make for an interesting story!

Just chuck the damn thing out the window or something. Who cares? It's just a stupid fragrance anyway.

Sell it to someone who has no sense of smell. They won't know the difference anyway, and you might make a few bucks out of it.

That's not a nice thing to say to a fragrance bottle :/

>> No.18018103

The fragrance bottle is selfish anyway. It won't open when it runs out, the sprayer is crushed tight onto the bottle. Fuck the bottle, if it's secrets are that precious then it should die with them

Drink it. What's the worst that could happen? Or spray it on your cock and balls and asshole, someone here gave that idea previously.
