What was it like to browse /fa/ at the height of the millenials cultural relevance (2011-2014)?

I have some images left over in my folder from ~2013, I can share some here.

I would mainly frequent /mu/, /lit/ and /fa/ during those times, it was pretty fun. It was a sad period of my life but things didn't really get better.

Funny how many of us found refuge on these boards around that time when going through similar circumstances. Boards were more feels-friendly back them, and even though things did getvreally get better for me, I sometimes miss having a welcoming place in which to vent to total strangers about stuff I can't really open up to friends and those close to me.
Anyway, I'm kinda enjoying the denim threads revival.
Also had a lot of similar images stored on an old computer, perhaps I should digg them out.

People actually talked about fashion. There were general threads about designers that reached bump limit. People in the industry also posted on here. It was actually a FASHION board.

>what changed
>the people changed

It's zoomers that are the problem, but they never admit it. They just sperg out and chase the few older people away.

When this was good, the posters grow up with an actual desktop pc, or laptop. They made real posts online. With real words and discussions.

Then zoomers grew up with cell phones, they are used to text speak, emojis, little attention span, general shit posting or tranny obsessed shit.

Those are the ones that replaced the posters here circa 2011.

A new generation of people replaced these boards. An objectively worse, illiterate, and retarded generation.

They don't post photos like the last generation did, because they only use social media apps in which they can apply massive filters.

In simple terms:

>What was it like to browse /fa/ at the height of the millenials cultural relevance (2011-2014)?

Zoomer free. Hence it was another (better) world.

Wholeheartedly agree and let me tell you, Cecil, as an oldfag in the broader meaning of the term, that I love having you hanging around.

But I don't agree on the excessive zoomer bashing, even if you're correct, it is not their fault, at least to a degree. They didn't make thw world we luve in, they were merely thrown into it without the skills to navigate it. And it is a bit our fault, we didn't teach them properly. We developed some skills because we were older when we got exposed to the internet and in a way, we built its culture. Perhaps we thought one wpuld develop those skills organically. But today's internet is a whole different beast.

Anyway, good luck, zoomies, and sorry for not leaving you a better world than what we found.

Kek, thank God us Zoomers are using our annoyance to boot out the old namefags

>> No.18013740

I think the way that I "blame"them is not merely because they are zoomers, they couldn't help how they grew up. But it's the inability to listen, to at times even have some basic logic about themselves. They shut off if something is more than a sentence. And while claiming to be "open-minded" they are anything but. They are extremely ignorant and narrow minded.

They could improve massively if they just.. listened, digested the words, and thought a little about them. That's the worse part about them. This is almost impossible.

>>18013702
Case in point.

This is like certain people who move into a prosperous neighborhood, cheat, steal, commit crime, so everyone flees. Then they are like yay we chased you out.

5 minutes later.. Hello? People please come back. This neighborhood is shit now. It's violent. All the stores are gone. No jobs. Please come back, this is your fault!

Zoomers like other groups, have zero ability to see beyond instant gratification.

>heh woooww we chased off the oldfags
>mainly because they told the truth about us
>and we can't beat to hear that
>we've always being told we are number 1
>1 month later

OMG THIS BOARD IS DEAD???

"You reap what you so!" must be an alien concept to them.

And this is while they have the folly of youth, once they're all pushing 40 they will be on every med going for depression, single, alone, resigned to all forms of mental illness and just still shit posting online all day in a room filled with plastic toys of their favorite comic book hero.
