Sinn is the perfect example of a brand that makes shitty fake replicas of old glorious watches.

The vintage Sinns are beautiful, but these look completely uninspired and forced. They won't have any value in 20 years. If you're going to produce old watches again, at least make the exact thing, not a frumpy reinterpretation.

Yes they are pretty good. Very good finish of the hands, dials and indices. The movements are good as well. I would go for a spring drive personally because I find them interesting. The 103 is a great example of a design that's timeless. What exactly do you not like about the "new" 103?
There were only minor changes to the dial and the movement became auto instead of manual. They still look pretty much the same.
But I do agree that especially the 103 needs to be worn a couple of years to get a used charm that is needed for such a tooly watch.

I miss my 1963. Wore it only a few times since it at 42mm it was too big for me, I just really like this dial though. I know it's just some cheap chink watch but I like it a lot more than every other panda chrono I've seen regardless of price point.

Seriously though. Let's point this out. You buy a watch, and you film yourself unpacking the package and making some goofy comments here and there. You hold the watch in your hands and you literally just describe the dial and give some fucking numbers. You try the watch on your wrist and you literally just tell the camera what you think about it. End. A video is born. Explain to me now how and why these people are supposed to deserve my attention or anyone's attention really.

From the moment I understood the weakness of mechanical watches, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of quartz. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Eco-Drive. Your kind cling to your shitters, as though they will not decay and fail you. One day the crude assemblage of springs and gears you call your watch will wither, and you will beg my kind to tell you the time. But I already know the time, for the Eco-Drive is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

>How much money do you have to make before you can buy a nice watch without being a poseur.

It really depends on your lifestyle and how your interests are known by your peers. For example, If you're the kind of person who doesn't give a shit about going on vacation, no one will knock you if you just go up to your cabin every time you take time off. On the other hand, if you're all about travel but go to Las Vegas or on a cruise every year, you'll seem like a poser.

The money itself is actually irrelevant, as long as you're investing/saving appropriately to your long-term plans.
