>How do I fix beard dandruff?
Wash your face with a facial cleanser daily in the shower, including your eyebrows sideburns and all the parts of your face that have beard on them.
Use a lightweight facial moisturizer after the shower including on your beard and all the parts of your face that are covered with beard.
Cearve foaming cleanser + cerave pm facial moisturizer works fine but any unscented drugstore brand will do.
If you wanna be a hipster you can thrown in some berad balm or a few drops of beard oil. They are mostly for moisturizing your face and not your beard regardless of what they claim.
If that doesn't work the get a bar of zinc soap and wash your face with that.
Generally the cause of beard dandruff is that dead skin is held in by your beard and then falls off later as dandruff, any kind of scrubbing should deal with that. If that doesn't fix it it's yeasts/bacteria going buckwild onr your face and the zinc bar will fix that.

thank you so much for the advice but I don't wash my hair everyday because it dries it out
is it okay to wash the beard everyday as long as I am moisturizing?

I had a beard for a few years, and read all the same conflicting accounts. You have to experiment for yourself to see what works. The only thing that worked for me was beard oil, and lots of it. Lighter moisturizers never prevented the flaking, only a rich oily layer held the old skin in place until I washed and brushed all the way down to the roots.

Did moisturizers reduce it at least? Did you keep doing that while using the oil and brushing?

I've had a beard since I was a teenager and never had this problem until like 6 months ago. Does this indicate that the zinc soap might be the solution?

Saying it that way makes me think this is a troll post. I hope not and that you are just enthusiastic about skincare.

Avoid foods / drinks that dry out your skin. Drink enough water. Avoid carbs, sugar, and seed oils (canola, etc.) Apply beard oil or something? idk

go see a general practitioner and then a derma

I have had this shit for over 10 years and finally went. got prescribed triamcinolone acetonide and it cured 90% of my dandruff. It's still red and if i stop using it it comes back, but im seeing the derma in a few weeks, hope that finalizes it.
