Even if that were Bloomberg using the word "bespoke" wrong, that would just further prove my point that it's a big fat gray area.
But in this case it's legit bespoke, you can look up Saskia Wittmer Florence yourself.

btw, she describes her business on Instagram as "bespoke shoes", and translates it as "scarpe su misura" in Italian.
"Su misura" simply means "(made) to measure", and is used as the equivalent of bespoke.
Further proving the idea that bespoke generally means custom made.
Same in French with "sur mesure".

What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?

A fundamental difference between bespoke and made-to-measure suits is where they start from. With Made-To-Measure (MTM), you need to have a standard, or pre-set pattern usually bought off-the-rack. A "Bespoke" suit is completely tailor made for a specific individual from scratch.

Nice graphic you made there. Funny you bring up the Harlech because its one of my best fitting lasts. Please learn to size first, then actually buy the boots before talking about shit you don't even understand. That last is extremely elongated, your toes are nowhere near the end, the area where the ball of the foot should be is very spacious.
>>17963593
I happen to own that too. It fits alright, nowhere near as good as EG or Trubalance for example. Way too low in the instep (facings still dont close properly lol) and could be more secure in the heel. Volume is great, similar to 72, but it lacks in the other areas i mentioned compared to EG 72.

That's the thing: with pointy shoes either your toes get squished into a triangle, or there's a bunch of empty space in front of your toes.
The former is bad for your feet, the latter is bad for your gait.

I wore my Bonafe loafers today for the first time since I got them

I ordered them because I thought they looked cool but when I got them I thought they're too flashy and I can't pull them off and avoided wearing them.
But today it was just me and one other guy in the office (covid) and the weather is great so I thought why not. I should have gone with better pants and socks though.

I've never worn loafers before. Also never had shoes with leather soles (+ topy) before.

When sitting down it's like wearing slippers, feels great. When walking I feel my foot slides forward so it feels narrow. Maybe it just needs break in or a tongue pad, but I'm not sure I could fit my foot in with a tongue pad.
I'm just surprised how comfy the leather sole feels.
Anyway the plan for these was to wear them with white denim or off-white linen during summer.

Can someone of normal weight - i.e. wears 32 inch waist pants - tell me what is your belt size?

The reason I'm asking is because when TLB did their black friday event they gave away free belts with every order. I'm down -15kg since September with another -10kg to go so I sort of guessed where I might end up and the belt is now here, it looks and feels great, but I think I may have fucked up the sizing guesstimate.

Is it normal for 'lasted' trees to be very difficult to get in and out?

I own a few lasted trees from TLB and they've always been super easy to slide in and out.
I also own lasted boot trees for my col8 shell bonafes (pic related) and they are a little tighter but still easy to get in and out.
However on my Bonafe loafers it's not like that. I need to put a lot of strength to muscle them out, and when I put them in the heel struggles to get. I get that it's a loafer so there's no laces to undo but it doesn't seem right.
