Have you guys ever heard of Maharishi? Its ads have been popping up all the time for me.

Love this jacket but import taxes would be more expensive than the jacket itself lol.

Their prices are higher than Alpha Industries, yet I've never heard of them. I can understand why you'd want pic related instead of buying their green MA-1, and you actually got me interested as well.

Bumping this so someone from the UK can enlighten us a bit.

I like their designs but the whole company is super gay
>Muh poor native people who have been oppressed by le evil westerners
>Fuck the military! That's why we make military style clothing but it's actually just ironic wink wink

Bong here, never heard of them. Love this, but I’d pay like £90 max, not £310.

This thread is giving me nostalgia. I heard about them years ago when I was in highschool and getting into techwear. Their pieces looked cool but super expensive and I was a broke kid so never bought any.
Are they a bigger brand now?

>>17945907
yeah 300 is crazy, the embroidering is nice though, would easily pay $110 for it.

og milsurp upcycling brand, Hardy Blechman wrote a really famous and now very rare and expensive book on camouflage. The whole raison d'etre behind the brand is a bit nonsensical though. 'reclaiming' camouflage for civilian usage is stupid and naive. Even under postmodernism, a sign never loses its referent. How could you possibly decouple camouflage from a military context, especially when your brand is just remaking 70+ year-old military designs with some streetwear and SEA themed embroidery? The whole thing seems hamfisted even by gen x libtard standards

Yeah it's a bit of a piss off especially since he's using Indian labour lol

Alright fellas, thank you. If I ever visit the UK again I'll think about taking something from them with me, but I won't buy anything right now.

Cool brand, lot of sales especially so on last seasons stuff. Many sites host them, just keep an eye out. Unique.

This shit is so foul in Japan so many women wear the liners that are supposed to go with the jacket/coat to insulate them and it literally makes you look like a homeless soviet mobik

Overpriced and underwhelming. I've purchased a few items.
Black crew neck, ~$120 on sale. It is a black crew neck. Nothing else to say.
OD Kimono shirt thing, ~$350, cool Tiger embroidery on the back. Makes for a really nice robe around the house, though not overly comfortable or warm.
Olive Snapback hat also not noteworthy.

But my absolute worst purchase was their Reebok collab. These shoes are already splitting at the toebox and I'm really surprised how little QA this "high end" company put into this project. Avoid their shoes...

That said OP, if you can get over the price tag and you really see something you like, pull the trigger to get the thought out of your mind.

I'm 27 but only got into "real" fashion like 6 years ago.

>>17948126
I'd buy it if not for the prohibitive import taxes I have to deal with. Next time I visit bongland I'll get something but it's not really a necessity right now.

>so many people who don’t know Mararishi

I am getting too old for this shit

Anyway, it is a nice brand and I have pieces that are 10+ years old that I still wear occasionally
