>How's the bracelet? Hollow end links?

I have an M170 lineage, the bracelet for the titanium model has a weird quirk IT'S THINNER. The steel watch has a normal folded steel bracelet, nothing special about it, titanium however is different, it's no folded but it's thin and doesn't exactly fit the endlink, so there's a bit of a gap between the bracelet and the end link on the titanium version.

But that's specifically the titanium M170, i've seen different shots of the M100 (your pic) and couldn't spot any issue.

Another thing about this line of watches is that the bracelet only has two micro adjustment holes so i personally could only get it a bit tight, or a bit loose, no perfect fit.

So I ended up buying a shiny polished leather band and wearing them like this. Leather + Titanium feels amazing on the wrist, the watch is just weightless and leather is super comfy. Bracelets are overrated, wearing a titanium watch on a leather band after you bent it to conform to your wrist is the best experience ever.

And Pera responded: “What do I need your furs for? I catch martens myself and give them to red girls.” And I don't need gold. They live in the forest without him. And I don’t need half the kingdom. As I said, it's what is claimed on the website. It is atrociously light though; to the point that I have rings that are heavier. The case is full titanium, if that makes a difference; I don't know what your stiletto is made out of. Even the bezel is titanium, and it's polished to the max (which apparently is difficult to do). For this one, Citizen didn't skimp out on anything.

Thanks Fren; doing well, had a very drunk night for the first time in ages. Are you keeping well?

Yup, but that's the info at hand.

I have one, actually; it was my first. I don't use it anymore; it was a gift when I was younger. There was a time when it was impractical to wear a wristwatch, so the pocket watch was a daily for a while. Then I got into mechanicals, and never looked back.

I understand you wouldn't want to get rid of it because it was a gift. But consider >>17893164 - they are quite right. A great place to start for mechanical pocket watches is a standard Hamilton 992; they're not very expensive, and the movements are solid.

Hard to say accurately how the watch is running, seems to be spot on, need to check how it's doing in spring again. Holds a charge well too, haven't actively charged it for quite a while now.

BB - sorry, my mistake. Well, I understand what you mean about not wanting to damage a good pocket watch while drinking with the company. I'm glad your stiletto is spot on though; that's a testament to the potential marriage of perfect design with perfect performance. You're lucky; as far as I am aware, these quartz movements from Citizen cannot be adjusted by a third party, so what you get is what you get. I was lucky with my Citizen too; the only reason my Zenith beat it out over the year was because my 0100 runs slow and there's nothing I can do about it. It'll lose around .75 of a second per year...such is life. But I love it, like I do my other watches; I've been lucky.

Have a great eve, StilettoAnon; stay safe.

That takes discipline, but it's the smart move. Don't waste your money.

And, certainly, I did everything completely wrong. Doxas, Stowas, Omegas, Tudors, Seikos (regular and grand) ... just buying shit like I was climbing a ladder. I was able to sell the shit and counted the losses I took as tuition in how not to waste money in the future.

I would love to be able to tell my past self of a couple years to just refrain from clicking "Buy it now" for just a couple months and you could have the JLC by the end of the year instead of after five years of wasting money.

The Best Chart, as over-memed as it is, is right. Buy a consumer-tier watch if you need a watch (and can't use your phone) and then start saving money until you're able to buy in the High-end category or up. Everything below that is a waste.

Definitely.
The worst part is feeling like such a rube when you realize that shit like a Seiko and an Omega or a Breitling are basically the same thing in terms of quality. You spent so much time gaslighting yourself into thinking that one is better than the other, then you get to handle a truly good watch and, literally, you feel embarrassed that you used to be so proud of your Tudor or whatever.

BTW, getting a Rolex is no longer that difficult outside of some very specific models or dials. A larger AD will have stock or be able to source a watch for you within a couple months. OPs, DJs, Subs, Explorers. No problem. DDs, Daytonas, GMTs, obviously a little harder.

Let's say you made bad decisions in your life and you want to spend a lot of money on a Grand Seiko. Would you get an 9S movement or an 9R? High beat or Spring drive and why?
I am getting kinda scared about the long term maintenance and service of a spring drive because they will have to send it to japan for that, right? But at the same time, I don't see much of a point not getting a spring drive if you're getting a GS.

Ackshually, you're wrong. Omega's ceramic is more advanced than either Seiko or Breitling. Seiko has their Spring Drive which no one else has, as well as their finishing which outstrips Breitling and Omega in a dead heat. While I'm partial to Breitling's heritage offerings, I am most impressed with their recreations of the old Navitimers; homages done right.

Eventually you'll understand that the only thing that truly matters with watches is having one that performs as you wish and looks as you wish. Everything else is white noise.

Nobody and i mean nobody cares what kind of watch you have, 99% of the people can't even tell cartier from casio.
In fact i'm going to do a poll amongst normies in which i ask what watch brands do they know and we will see if anyone can name more than one.

Redpill me on Lilienthal Berlin.
It ticks all the bullet points in the "minimalistic watches" pastebin, yet it looks less boring.

Take her to a watch shop, give her a budget and let her pick one. If you buy her a watch you risk that she won't like it and she won't wear it and it'll end up in a drawer.
