There is a definite high involved. For a time, I too thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of whittling down options; perhaps that's why I enjoy vintage watch shopping far more than new ones, as there are more problems to consider and more intriguing variations. Ok, watch youtubers seem to fall into two categories:
- Shills
These people make money from 'reviewing' watches (but are actually advertising). The obvious ones have their own shop (like teddy). But it seems that some of them get paid behind the scenes or something?
- Hobbyists
Supposedly these are just normal people you can 'trust'. But it seems like these people are never satisfied. They're constantly buying, selling, and they get their hands on incredible number of watches. I think that they've seen so many watches that a good watch is no longer special to them and they're just chasing a high they will never get back again.

Is this right? Is there anyone on youtube you can actually trust?

>>17889415
Agreed, but just remember that your 2nd category involves people who probably started it as a true hobby and had it 'grow' on YT during Covid shutdowns. If they want to continue producing 'content' today, then they have to keep coming up with ways to feature different watches, and they can't afford to keep buying new watches, so they get them on loan from jewellery stores, hence pulling them into the issue of compromised viewpoints due to accessibility.

I think you can 'trust' sellers who are obvious (i.e. Federico, T-mosso, and even Mahrk fram Lang-island daht calm). I mean, what do you value from their opinion? Your eyes can give you a lot if you have the chance to try stuff on in person, so trust your instincts.

For every "fan", I have three people telling me to kill myself and wish me aids.
You're over thinking it. It's just a website to catch some quick laughs. I am abusing the relative anonymity of this website. The things I post here, I share it with my brother and my friends, too, on different group chats and discord servers. 4chan is, of course, not my only online platform.
I really like to make other people smile and or laugh at stupid things.
Don't forget where you are m8. Seriously just enjoy the ride. I mean, how is it not funny to put a Tootor on a strippers ass and tell her, when she asks "why?"
>"It's because I am selling them online to perverts and they want the watch to touch your feet first"

You get charged with deadly assault (less severe than murder). Rather that than dead tbqh. Realistically speaking you wont have a rifle with you in a self defense situation, open carry isn't legal.

You can get anything up to a elk hunting rifle easily if you just have a hunting license. Reservists can have a semi-auto rifles. Shotgun + slug is the easiest way I think.

There's definitely a great deal of difference between 300m and """300m""".

Also, the Marinemaster and Tuna models for instance (the OG designs anyway) are built with a completely solid caseback, meaning you have to insert the movement through the crystal hole. This obviously makes them even more solid in terms of water resistance, and it likely has some effect on the way the crystal opening is configured (i.e. it needs more height)

this is why I don't know if being a poorfag outside of quartz is worth it honestly if you value some form of functionality

>but it's bulkier and thicker
Well yes. That's what that means.

Also, the Rolex that went to 11k depth was 28.5mm thick. So thickness begets depth.

>finish
haha no
See pic.

Agreed. If you’re not spending at least 7-8k, don’t even bother. Just get an F-91w.

Totally, let's spend 6900$ on a Quartz and only buy a mechanical watch that's at least 7000$

He needs you to acknowledge that a Seiko has good water resistance, that way he can ignore the fact that it looks like crap on his wrist, gains 2 minutes per day, and will never be the Rolex he really wants.

So just give it to him, ok?
