Yeah Hawas was a inexpensive so I figured why not. I probably wear Elysium more than any other and it's just a tad bit below half full.

As a side note I also have Stronger With You Absolutely but I like the intensely better (although women seem to prefer absolutely based on Youtube reviews). Intensely has a nice sweet scent to it, but absolutely for me almost has a vinegary scent to it in its profile for me.

Nice collection, kinda odd that you have some very expensive fragrances while having rather small collection. Though I can see the logic in buying 1 fragrance you love rather than 2 or 3 you merely like. I've sampled Ebene Fume and it's really nice but a bit pricy for me.

go to the mall and try some stuff there to save money. Macy's will let you spray testers but they're really annoying and will shill you sauvage. Nordstrom is great and has a better selection without shilling dogshit. They will also give you a small sample to take home if you ask. Sephora has testers and may or may not have take home samples.

I have gotten samples from the Montblanc store as well as Chanel. Chanel also has testers out. My mall also has an Hermes store, Cartier, L'Occitane, stuff like that. Any boutique that sells a fragrance should let you try a tester and maybe take a sample home. That's already more fragrances than you can try in one visit, so do that at least once before spending money on samples online.

I use the Perfumed Court for samples of stuff I can't find elsewhere.

My personal opinions, based on the samples I've tried today.

Megamare: Neither pleasant nor unpleasant, perceived melon notes in the top (and throughout, as this is a linear fragrance). If it's heavy on ambrocenide, I'm certainly not sensitive to it, as the performance on this is slightly above average, and not projecting heavily. Not getting deep sea or seaweed notes.

Terroni: Performs stronger than my Sauvage Elixir and Red Tobacco, obnoxiously strong projection and longevity. People describe this as earthy and woody, but it's more volcanic, smokey, sooty. What you would expect from the remains of lava burning down a forrest. By The Fireplace, but made to not be mass appealing.

Bergamask: Bergamot smells like shit and this is just one smell without any complexity. Almost smells cheap, like what a bar of soap would smell like from Wallmart. Not something you would pay $300 for 50ml.

Terroni is very different to Black Afghano, despite what many have said.

>Acqua di Parma Oud 10/10
This one is going in my God tier fragrance list. The perfect woody fragrance that I have been searching for. Hits all the right spots for me. The oud is actually buried deep within the scent. Very well done.

>Acqua di Parma Leather 2/10
Very disappointed in this one. Suggested as competition to Ombre Leather, but it's more geared towards Tuscan Leather. Smells like a dirty bomber jacket worn by a frequent smoker. Terrible for me.

>Acqua di Parma Colonia 4/10
Regarded as a timeless scent but after the initial blast of citrus, it evens out to a generic shaving cream smell. Think barbasol. It's not terrible but I certainly won't be buying a bottle.

>Tom Ford Tuscan Leather 6/10
I wanted to like this one more, but it's seriously just leather and cocaine. The dry down is a bit smokey as well. If that's your thing, then you'll love this one. I'm glad I tried it though, solidified my conclusion that Ombre Leather is the better choice between the two.

>Diptyque Tam Dao 7/10
Overall pleasant smelling, although I wish the lime was tamed down a little. A better smelling Encre Noir imo.

>Diptyque Oud Palao 9/10
Very decent scent going on here. The rose puts this on the feminine side for me, but it's balanced well. The rose fades away considerably in the dry down. I rate it fairly high, but it feels more like a mature woman's signature scent rather than something for myself.

Memes aside, what the second Anon said is relatively accurate.

I have extremely limited experience with florals, as they’re not my jam, but I’ll try and add two possible points of reference for you.
1) The same way Terror and Magnificence is like sticking your nose into a pepper shaker and taking a whiff, Fathom V is the same thing but for a rose bush (thorns excluded).
2) If you’ve ever smelled Synthetic Jungle, Fathom V is pretty much the same thing except it’s a smell I associate with roses, where Synthetic Jungle it’s a ‘white flower’ smell, as weird as that may sound.

>>17874383
If the main scent/accord is a flower or floral in general, I personally don’t consider it masculine. That’s a personal opinion, but I think you’ll find it tends to be a common one among the general public. That said, both of the two frags I’ve mentioned in this post are floral frags you might consider.
