Those are pretty far on the casual end when it comes to chelsea boots. Something slimmer and more angular and minimal would be better for work, although the standards for office attire are so shit nowadays I doubt anyone would care.

I've been wearing them on nights out, bathroom floors covered in piss, puke etc
I've worn them to the beach
I've worn them in dirt
And now I wear them to the office
They are somewhat beat up looking but really they look fine to me. Just a bit wrinkled.
I'll say this: the lack of a steel shank or any arch support whatsoever makes DM footwear quite uncomfortable if you have to walk any medium to long distance. Also, they will have to be broken in
Mine are also ever so slightly too small but that's my own fault really. They're a fine workhorse shoe but they have their faults.
