why are so many seersucker jackets fully constructed?
I've been looking for a nice seersucker suit in northern germany the last two summers and I found just one pinstripe seersucker suit by Herr von Eden that hadn't a full construction and that hat actually usable buttons on the sleeves with I think is a great idea for a summer suit.

All other have a full construction and lining inside the sleeves, so you'll sweat to death wearing them at 30°C. What's the point? Also are there any brands that I can look into for a suit like this?

do you mean fully lined? the lining inside the sleeves is necessary, it's very difficult to put the jacket on and take it off without the sleeve lining. you won't find a jacket without sleeve lining. just make sure the rest of the jacket is unlined as much as possible.

working sleeve buttons are a meme. it makes alterations a nightmare and you'll never open them since suit sleeves are hard to roll up, it's easier to just take the jacket off if you're that hot.

You're admiring it because it's a $5000 watched stamped Cartier. Watches that look like that can be had for a hundred dollars, they just don't say Cartier. It's the brand and the expense wowing you, not the watch. The A. Lange & Söhne looks nicer, has the better movement but it flew under the radar because it isn't an iconic jewelry staple brandwhoring itself out so much even a denizen of detroit would recognize it. The Cartier tank is a nice watch and better than the look alikes but it's nothing, absolutely nothing compared to the A. L & S.

I disagree, I have a vintage seiko tank that I think looks really good. the cartier seems slightly more well done IMO but to my eye it's aesthetically on par with my seiko. Only thing is mine broke anyway.

I'm a big fan of tank style watches these days, I used to absolutely hate the cartier tank and rectangular watches in general but one day it just clicked in my head and now I love them. But the ones I can afford as a student aren't that good, there's always something off about them. They're either too chunky, or the dial is ugly, or they look fine but they're ridiculously huge. The new Seiko tanks look good but are easily double the size they ought to be.

I'm bummed out because the vintage seiko I got is beautiful and practically perfect but of course it doesn't even run, I took a gamble on it and I lost. If I could find something similar in running condition I'd buy it in a heartbeat and put it on a dark brown alligator strap.

as much as "muh horology" nerds claim to care about the movement, a watch's real appeal comes down to dial, case and bracelet/strap. the cartier is magnitudes more impressive as a piece of design than the lange, doesn't matter if its quartz (since there's no second hand). the watch "hobby" is nothing more than conspicuous consumption for lawyers and bankers to swing their dicks around
of course "normal" people are more impressed by cartier and rolex than lange, journe or any expensive independent, its because their watches actually look good

ruined? ruined for who? remember last thread where my pic was the OP image and somehow that didn't stop it reaching 300 replies.

nobody, not even the people who generally dislike me a normal amount, buys your "pack it up guys, the thread is le ruined now" shit, my prediction is nobody will give a single shit that "the thread is ruined" and this thread will go on as usual, with people who actually care about /tip/ discussing /tip/ fashion as if i didn't even post.

I swear, for every 1 person actually discussing where to buy shell cordovans or how to style rugby jumpers there's about 10 fitless faggots contributing nothing but raging about me and beating the "/tip/ is dead" drum as if they represent anybody but their own sorry asses.
I'd even wager you don't really even care about /tip/ or discussing fashion at all, /fa/ is just full of head-banging mental cases like you who actually despise the very idea of fashion and actively campaign to make the board environment worse out of spite for their obvious betters.

i don't know how old you are, but personally i think its more pitiful than anything that you keep A-logging me for just taking it easy and posting some nice fits when i feel like it.
my fucking GOD you're pathetic, I'd laugh, if you weren't such a sad fucking waste of life. take your schizophrenia meds and do some breathing exercises, you ferally retarded ball of mutant shit.

I'm going for all grey/black/navy this winter, and trying to find a timeless pair of waterproof boots for heavy rain/snow/slush as I live in the PNW.

The only requirements is no fabric exterior, and able to go under a straight leg pant or be able to be cuffed over them. I have a pair of black Thursday boots, but these need to be more functional without looking TOO functional.
