the shitting on the submariner guy's wrist size a few threads ago is now making me ask /wt/ for opinions on the fit here, apologies in advance for the shit quality pocket photo
6.25" bitch wrists, 47.5mm lug to lug
am I in the "TOO LONG BAD SHIT" situation shown in the poorfag guide? I think the pocket photo fit looks good.

Thanks for the feedback. I must have relatively rectangular and flat wrists compared to other people for this to not look awful.
People in other forums with the same or bigger wrist sizes all went for the 38 AT over the 41.
I guess wrist shape really is more important than I thought originally.

my current everyday watch is getting repaired, can’t wait to get it back. Tag Heuer Carrera 1887. Swiss casing and externals coupled with Japanese internals made by Seiko. I believe it’s the only Tag ever made in unison with another watch manufacturer. My favorite watch I’ve ever purchased, also very affordable at 5-6k new, 2.5-3k used however it is discontinued so I’m not sure if it’s more now. Can’t recommend it enough, absolute class for the price.

I have a SRP777 as a beater. I want a better looking diver for everyday. Something a little prettier than this thing, but not "nice", not "dressy", and not a "sports watch". Just a beater that's just a notch more blingy and less straight up beater beater, if you know what I mean.

I was looking at those new NB6021s, but then someone psyoped me into looking at reps and now I'm thinking it would be fun to get a high quality rep, specifically either a Superocean Heritage from GF Factory or a Black Bay from ZF. Both are brands I absolutely despise for no rational reason other than maybe the fact that they have an angloid stink, but I kinda like the looks of both watches.

Anyone got one of those things, and how do they hold up to stuff like everyday abuse, taking a shower with it on, etc? Pic unrelated

At least where I'm at it's suposedly a bit different
Since pandemic the reliability of deliveries from Rolex has changed. They suposedly don't get the stuff as they got them pre-pandemic. Rolex literally sends them whatever and they have to work with that. Similar things with waitlists. In my AD they open and close those as they have to share their partnof the allocation between 7 or 9 shops in total.
But yeah they usually sale to whatever they want or have a relationship with.
I got talky with rep that get me on a list for 3 rlxes total. I also bought a Cartier for my wife.

Lady DJs are readily available because no one wants anything below 30mm. It's too old-fashioned. Girls these days wants something between 31-36. My wife for instance didn't want a lady dj because it was too small. Even 1mm makes a difference. This is why she opted for Cartier Ronde despite being almost half the price and quartz

I didn't say like it's a bad thing. Bad thing is what Chopard is doing pushing quartz shit for the Rolex/Onega price.
Having said that before we got Cartier we also went to see Omegas Devile 28mm red. Dial is a stunner. I even briefly considered buying his and hers. But when we handled it, it felt soooo fucking cheap. I swear it felt like a god damn plastic.
Cartier on the other hand was money. I also tried Santos, but it's not for me. I really want to like it tho...

There are some leather straps that have a rubber underside. The better ones, like the hirsch james, have a ribbed underside for airflow. Some have holes that perforate both rubber underlayer and leather top. Racing style straps. These features allows for airflow, and the rubber is the part that touches your skin not the leather ensuring better longevity.
The james for example looks just like a leather strap when on the wrist.

I've only ever owned the james, and noted that hirsch did those racing straps with the holes too but there must be other brands out there with the same concept.
Otherwise a rubber or silicon tropic strap with all the holes for airflow are a nice hot/humid weather alternative to a bracelet, depending on the watch style of course.
