Yes. It used to be a value brand but now it's just a scam. They do have potential. They need to understand the market and release things normal people want to buy. They just make a bunch of random shit and hope for the best. Focus on details, focus on design, focus making your site/s usable and easy to purchase from, focus on having a logical and easy to explain product line. It's impossible to tell their good watches from their trash and the price tells you absolutely nothing. I've been wanting to buy a GS for years but I have never seen anything from them at a price that I couldn't get something better in every way from another brand.

The quality of the watches is the same, so if it's a cope it's only in name recognition, and Rolex has both good and bad name recogntion.

Most people, including "upper class french" don't give a shit about watches though unless you're wearing the rainbow daytona and wave it in their faces like some obnoxious chimp. Or dress in that fuccboi instathot fashion with a skintight suit that emphasizes your gaudy watch like some rube.
A DJ or sub are so generic nobody gives a shit, and yes I'm talking from experience since my sister married into an old noble families and I attended that wedding in France.
I think the only models from rolex that are prone to eliciting any negative reaction are the larger all gold ones. People these days just don't care enough about watches to go out of their way to recognize a submariner from a gmt from a dj etc.

They increase production every year, so I don't think they'll go up in value much (if at all). I don't see the appeal beyond the pretty dial. The dial is pretty, but I don't think their prices are justified. They use a curved sapphire crystal to make the colored dial look as if the colors are moving and changing based on the angle of view. A curved crystal is also more likely to break.

The one thing I never hear mechanical fags talking about is how any vigorous movement causes the escapement to skip and you'll gain 20 seconds in 5 minutes.

I've never had a quartz watch skip. Not 5 dollar modern watches made entirely out of plastic, nor full metal 3 jewel movements from the 80s.

I think Orient uses a unidirectional rotor in some of their watches, which can make weird sounds if you shake it. If it's a new problem suddenly, I guess it could be the bearings getting caught up or something, I'd just take the back off, remove the rotor, and put it back on.

The main difference in the day to day is how it feels on the wrist. The DW-5600 is all plastic and light, the GW-5000 has a steel case and screwdown back which feels weighty and solid. Ideally you would try them both and choose but if that's not an option get the 5600, it will get the job done. The 5000 should be an informed decision, you want the metal case with DLC coated back and a softer band. Personally I like the anniversary squares because I like the construction of the 5000 with the basic module from the 5600.

They're not even made in the same factory, have completely separate management and design teams but tudor copesters want to believe they bought a minirolex instead of the

I used to think omegaturds were pathetic, but in the face of tudor buyers they're almost commendable. To buy a tudor is to buy a physical manifestation of your fox&grapes justification, a tangible mark of shame, and there's nothing lower than that. Not even tagfags are lower.
