Help me out /wt/, I'd like a watch with a similar design language to those in the attached picture. My additional requirements are:

>37mm-40mm
>steel bracelet
>date complication
>at least 10bar water resistance
>preferably a screw-down crown, but not mandatory
>budget of $3k

I love the dial of the Guinand Flight Officer (top right), but it sits too large at 42mm, and lacks a screw-down crown.

I really like the case and proportions of the Sinn 556, but find the dial plain, and prefer the more detailed dial of the Guinand.

The IWC XVII is nice (albeit a little big), but I hate the bracelet that it comes with. I'm seriously considering custom machining a set of endlinks to adapt a Sinn H-link bracelet to it.

Right now I'm leaning toward the Damasko DS30 or DK32 (same as DS30, but with their movement).

I guess my ideal watch would be a 1016 Explorer with a luminova service dial and hands, but I don't have $12k in my pocket.

Let me know if you guys know of any other options in this general category.

$15k for a 1997 16700BLRO. No box or papers, 2 year warranty through the AD. Buy or get one online for a couple thousand cheaper w/o box and papers and no warranty?
I’d rather have a new one but there’s no way in hell they’re gonna call me.

bros, i saved up $3k for a watch. i want a Swiss diver. new or pre-owned, doesn't matter. When it comes to new for that money it can really only be a Tag, Longines or Zodiac (i like both the Aquaracer and the Sea Wolf). Pre owned, I think I should be able to find a Seamaster or a Breitling Superocean Heritage II, i like them both. any suggestions, something outside of those 5?

I would get the seamaster. Once the novelty of it being a “Rawlecks” wares off you’ll get bored of it. Keep in mind the omega will lose at minimum 1,000 in value

I’m interested in the GMT because of its PanAm history. The Seamaster is pretty cool though, green looks so nice in person.

What would be the best watch to wear with full Rick? Specifically the classic geos/pods/shirt look. I'm thinking a casio f-91w, maybe the clear resin version? Bauhaus watches might work but I'm not a huge fan of those.

>>17692599
I used to own one until I lost it, real love/hate relationship with it. Sometimes I thought it was the coolest shit, sometimes I felt like a real dork. Got multiple compliments on it, also once had a coworker call it tacky, he was a major shithead though. It's a big hit with normies, and it's a great choice if you have the right fits and personality for it, if you're someone who doesn't take yourself too seriously and likes dressing with flashy colors, it's perfect for you. That describes me only half the time, and personally, I think I should've bought the silver version instead, in hindsight it seems more like my style. Still wish I hadn't lost it, and I think you should buy it, so long as you already own a watch you can wear on days you don't feel like attracting loads of attention. Unless you're an extrovert 24/7 in which case have at er.
