what are some good turtlenecks for those of us with a slim build?
preferably cotton since it doesnt get terribly cold (like -2°C/28°F at worst) where i live and wool would probably be overkill
i would also prefer it to have some knit design rather than just being plain

Need recommendations for sunglasses. I don't know why, but every pair I've tried seems weird on me, I don't know if my face is just not ideal for sunglasses or if it's because I haven't worn sunglasses for 5~ years so any pair I wear seems foreign and awkward to me.
I looked up a couple of guides on how to pick a pair based on your face shape, but I can't tell what shape I have. I think I have kind of a short face, so maybe a pair that isn't very tall? idk any advice would be appreciated

3/4 sleeve baseball tees are tough because they arent as common with the blank manufacturers. You can try shakawear, just check the measurements carefully you might want to size down for a less relaxed fit
https://shakawear.com/products/raglan-standard-sizes?variant=14797783138367
There is also these ones from US blanks but they are triblend.

I will see if i can come up with any others but probably not.

i'm not from /fa/, i just came here and searched qtddtot but i have a fashion question.
>my question is are black high heels with red soles for prostitutes?
i caused a huge argument at an after-work function involving most of the women during a weird conversation. i pointed out how the way to identify a prostitute was a woman who wears black high heels with red soles. the women got instantly angry because apparently they're expensive and everybody wanted them. then they got upset with me that i pointed out that because they wanted them, they want to present to the world that they exchange goods and services for sex.

i know i'm not wrong, i just want confirmation from you fashion experts that black high heels with red soles MEANS prostitute

Buddy, you just self owned yourself on a few levels. Firstly you're talking about sex workers when you clearly know nothing about them. Secondly you're doing so in a work context that shows a lack of self awareness of social norms. Thirdly, and this is perhaps forgivable- as has been pointed out, these shoes are from a designer.

Now there are no doubt some high end sex workers, professional dominatrices certainly who wear them. You might have even seen them in some adult entertainment. But they're also worn by powerful women. Assad's wife Asma has a large collection of them.

Can someone please tell me what kind of fucked up body shape I have that makes it so there are zero shirts or pants that fit me properly off the rack?

>6'
>44.5" shoulders
>28" natural waist (though I wear pants lower near the hips)
>35.5" hips

Because my legs are long, waist is narrow, and hips are wide, when my shirt is tucked in the silhouette looks extremely feminine, even though I wear the pants as low as possible. Even if I don't tuck the problem persists although it's less noticeable, if the shirt is loose enough it hides how narrow my waist is.

Are there other people with this body type? Can I fix this in the gym?

I've been looking to get a new winter jacket since my current one is a parka that is way too big and I'm practically swimming in.
I was looking at getting an m-65 cause I like the look, but I heard that it's not actually that warm which is kind of a necessity since I live in Canada. Plus, if I'm gonna be paying $100+ for a jacket, it might as well be actually functional.

TL;DR: does anyone have a suggestion for a winter jacket that isn't massive, is warm and functional, and doesn't look retarded?

>> No.17685735

>>17685718
I think m-65 is really overplayed, it's not exactly trendy or fashionable and the aren't like the cutting edge of providing warmth and functionality anymore I feel.
Sorry that this isn't extremely helpful but every autist on 4chan wants the m-65 because of whatever autistic reason when it's not exactly anything unique or stylish
(Also most will probably be both overpriced due to the high demand and also low quality because the m-65 was produced in a time of budget cuts where they outsourced the manufacturing to whatever company that'd make it. And even people who make replicas like Alpha Industries aren't too high quality and if you want a nice m-65 you'd need to splurge for a real mccoy or buzz rickson one so maybe look into something by Filson or Arc'teryx or Patagonia or North Face or Huckberry or Barbour)

>> No.17685762

>>17685735
Honestly fair, and I appreciate the input. I've been looking at the older ones (supposed originals from the 70s) and making sure they're actually functional and have been getting confused with half the people saying they're warm and half the people saying they're shit. Some say you need the liner. Most say you need to layer a ton. Some say they're shit even with that. It's probably just best to stay away from them.

What kind of cross necklace do I need to wear to blatantly project my faith to the world? It seems noawadays unfaithful zoomies have turned my religious iconography into just another fashion trend, so just wearing a generic cross necklace doesn’t automatically tell people “oh, this guy is an unironic Christian”. As for finding one that's quality, if you want heritage quality you'll need to pay heritage prices, if you go onto japanese sites though you can usually find some good deals but I probably wouldn't risk fucking up a dye job on a nice jacket I paid a lot of money for. It's basically either you get the rolls royce of jackets or you just settle for surplus quality/alpha quality which, aren't amazing but if you get it for a good deal (Under like 40-50 bucks I'd say) I'd just cope with the poly/cotton blend chinese jacket because finding an actual nylon and cotton blend regular M65 is probably going to be impossible unless you just cough up. Most menswear devolves from utilitarian design and if you're used to military based designs (trench coats for ex) or workwear based designs (cargo pants for ex) why not try to style prison based designs ?

You can wear it fully opened at the top tying the arms to your thighs with some wifebeater and some thick shoes.

Would def not close it all the way unless you to look like you're on your getting out day.

You should also go and get a better razor as you either are ass at shaving or using some fucking bic one use two blades.

Nutrition also plays a ginormous role in the aspect of your skin so make sure to eat your vegetables and find a diet adapted to both your body and skin.

You'll need to either get a size that goes fits your bust and then have a seamstress take it in, so they can add darts under your breasts for a tighter waist, or yes learn to sew. You could go to asia and just get a bunch custom made for you as well. Or just avoid blouses, there's options out there. Large breasts always caused the button gapping issue

yeah slim fit if you're slim just means normal fit. I was thinking about suit jackets and sport coats, I thought maybe picrel style was already back but maybe not yet. this is way longer than current jacket lengths and has more room in the chest/waist, but it's also not the wrong (bigger) size because the shoulders still fit, it's just the way the jacket was cut for that size.

How do I dress goth in central Florida in September when it’s as hot as the sun and I’m expected to walk several miles a day for a week straight? To be clear, I don’t live there, I’m just going to be there at that time. I’m not super acclimated to the heat, I live in Ohio, it gets hot here but it isn’t constantly hot so I’m not super acclimated to it. I’m not really into the faggy techwear goth shit. I’m considering just getting some all-black high-top Chucks and putting decent insoles in them, and then throwing on some black cargo shorts. Would that be fine? I have a pair of black cut-off jorts I could wear, but if it rains (and it will) I’m boned, because wet denim is wet denim whether the inseam is 7 inches or 32 inches. Any ideas or thoughts on this? Is there any way I could get away with jeans without smelling like shit by the end of the day? I’m gonna be outside virtually all day, every day, the whole time I’m there.

Hello /fa/scists,
I need help finding shops for business casual attire. I'm starting a new job in August and it's the first place I've worked at without a uniform.
I'd prefer not to buy online since I don't have enough time to wait for both shipping and tailoring.

I'm an American, and all I know about the dress code is that it's "business casual."
The biggest issue I have is finding well fitting shirts and jackets. Almost everything seems to be cut for fat "people."

First time posting here; yes I read the sticky.

Going to a fine dining restaurant where the dress code is "business elegant." I don't want to buy a whole suit just for one night so I was thinking of wearing a button-up, form-fitting khakis and some leather steve madden sneakers. I'm also travelling so I'd rather not pack a whole outfit for that night and dress shoes do not seem comfortable for walking around and seeing the sights.

Apparently though, khakis may be too casual so I may have to go with dress pants. I'm not a fan of dress pants since I have a skinnier frame and they always seem too bulky and boxy. I also prefer khakis as they would fit my job better (not exactly an office type job). Should I say screw it and just go with the khakis anyway?

Also, any general advice for shopping for clothes as a skinnier person? Even "slim fit" clothing tends to be too saggy on me.

>> No.17716950

>>17716931
I’ve never once heard of “business elegant”, does the restaurant have a more specific dress code than that?
>shopping as a skinnier person
Find a designer that makes clothes for your body type and stick with them. Mall clothes are gonna be too large because the average person is obese these days.

>> No.17716966

>>17716950

The dress code on their website:

"Business Elegance attire is required. For ladies, the attire is elegant & dressy. For gentlemen, the attire is collared shirts or polos. Shorts, sports apparel, tank tops and open-toe shoes are not permitted."

According to some reviews, their dress code is not enforced extremely strictly but I don't want to look like the odd one out.

I'm looking at Charles Twyrhitt for dress shirts as they have a deal going on and make "extra slim fits".

>> No.17716993

>>17716966
Khakis should be fine then, sounds like they’re just trying to turn away people dressed like total slobs. Honestly sounds like most people will be wearing country club style outfits, from that description, so anything more would be overdressing, but I don’t know.

re:shirts, seems like a fine enough brand. Looks like they do made to order, too, if you want to go that route.

Thanks for your help.

I did get an email from them that jackets were required but from my research on the restaurant, it doesn't seem to be too strictly enforced. Would wearing a decent blazer and khakis clash too much?

>>17717073
I’m not a super /tip/fag so I don’t know the rules re:colors, but I’ve definitely seen a lot of people wear blazers with khakis. Seems totally fine. If it’s hot out I doubt they’ll even enforce the rule. The trad/ivy/prep thread can probably help better than I can if they’re not squabbling over something profoundly autistic at the moment, but the OP of that thread should have a lot of resources to look at too.

Yeah the restaurant is in Vegas where it's routinely 110 F out and apparently the host takes your jacket when you walk in so it all seems kinda silly.

I'll give the other thread a look, thanks again!

ope, the tip thread just got archived and no one has made a new one. Yeah it’s my understanding that blazers/jackets aren’t super required in Vegas formalwear due to the heat. Worst case scenario if you’re really stressed about it you can call the restaurant and ask for specifics on what’s acceptable. Sure thing, hope all goes well

why the fuck is men's fashion so boring? Women's sections at every store are 3x bigger with such a wide variety of styles, while men can basically be "slob," "slightly less slob," "oversized streetwear garbage bag," or "suit." What the fuck? Where do I look for fit inspo outside of these categories? I would say I currently fit into "less slob," usually a patterned button down and jeans, but i'm so bored with that.

Was thinking about using "just for men beard dye" and tint my eyebrows a bit darker so to contrast with hair better and make them look a lil thicker. Would it be a bad idea? Thinking about using dark-brown.

Another question:
what is a budget hairdryer or product I should have for "natural hair"?
All I have now is salt spray and shitty hairdryer. hair is just a grown out fade done by a friend. Had the back and ears fixed up a bit and the usual maintenance. Always had super short shaved or faded cuts. I like whatever this shit on the side of my head is.

>Irrelevant blogpost:
I have never liked how I look but at least I am not chubby anymore so working improving on other things so people will think I am human. I can still barely go outside unless I have a jacket/hoody on covering my body because of slightly fucked self-image. forcing myself to wear some slightly oversized uniqlo Tshirt and jeans was tough when out in public but I am getting better, had to cover up after a while.
Not that interested in fashion as a hobby but I need to understand basics and a wardrobe of things I actually like and improve my pysique. Taking tret, azelaic acid, sunscreen and finasteride because it is illogical not to.

sad to say that the best place to buy these is at a Spanish resort town where they can be had for cheap, if you buy online they will always be overpriced. These are inherently flimsy shoes that aren't expected to last years and years. That being said, I think Soludos and Manebi usually have good reviews for these.

Something looks off. To me it appears that the glassess are too small for your face, giving off a "tight" fit that causes your face to look all scrunched up. Also, why is the nose pad on the right side popping out compared to the left? Lastly, have you considered going for squared shaped sunglasses?

>>17715438
Nah, just wear it. Since it's summer, at least here; I would style that t-shirt with navy blue 7 inch chino shorts, some white sneakers, and sunglasses. Wear the shirt untucked, or tuck in the front only. See pic rel

>>17719113
Honestly, I think your eyebrows look fine in my opinion. However, if you're deadlocked on trying it, go for it. Nothing crazy will happen given that those dyes usually lasts for about 3-4 weeks at most. And yes, a dark-brown dye will nicely contrast, given that your hair is lighter. But if you're unsure just go for a tad lighter brown and up-titrate as needed, but as I said, you should be fine with the dark-brown dye.

>>17719158
Since you're going for a budget hairdryer any will do, just make sure you purchase a hairdryer with a 'concentrator nozzle' attachment. It's a vital attachment to minimize the amount of frizz that can occur when drying and can also keep your hair straight. This is my shitty hairdryer I got 5 years ago on Amazon prime day for $18 and works well although I don't think they sell it anymore. https://www.amazon.com/Sterilization-Professional-Tourmaline-Concentrator-Lightweight/dp/B0895LW9LL

I also use a heat protectant when blowdrying just in case. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/Hair-Food-Coconut-Argan-Protectant/dp/B07YPNW7SF/ref=sr_1_16?crid=KB5CH6ZPA13M&keywords=heat+protectant+spray+for+hair&qid=1689831738&rdc=1&sprefix=heat+pro%2Caps%2C238&sr=8-16

And lastly, that's great to hear that you're improving youself, keep going. And even though it's easier said than done, don't criticze yourself so harshly. Things take time for them to come to fruition.

Where can I buy some nice shirts for the summer? Pic rel is what I wear the most often. Also open to wearing some linen long-sleeves or smth and just rolling them up. Just having a hard time finding nice shirts around stores here.

I like these because they fit nice and loosely on me without looking ridiculously oversized. Either buttoned up to the 2nd highest button and tucked in, or unbuttoned and untucked with some kind of matching t-shirt or just a wifebeater. A lot of shirts I find in department stores are way too tight and strachy for my liking.

lmao youve got me all wrong. just wear cotton boxers. fruit of the loom or hanes. don't be a brandfag about something literally no one sees unless youre already having sex, and dont wear sweaty ass stanky synthetic stretchy fabric just because it "looks smoother."

if you really want the "best" underwear look for nonribbed cotton boxer briefs with a short leg, like 1" or 2" inseam. these look excellent in solid black especially. you can look at uniqlo & muji, they sometimes have them, or you can look at adidas & nike and other sport brands because they actually make underwear that's functional.

CK underwear is the TJMaxx special because they always have a rack of "designer briefs" so men have something to buy when their gfs take them shopping, but whether its CK or hilfiger or whatever, it's always the same cheap synthetic with goofy looking contrast stitching, random logos, and a nonfunctional fly or none at all.
