How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off

No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.

what brand is that? the finishing is atrocious
even on the worst boot it generally doesn't happen that the heel just falls off
when you put weight on the boot and this gap doesn't close it's probably a better sign than the opposite
the gap opening and closing every time you walk will might get progressively worse with time and separate more and more
if that happens just get someone to fix it then, rather than trying to fix a problem that might not even develop
i get that this isn't 100% esthetically pleasing and wouldn't be there on the boot of my dreams, but it's almost invisible and most likely just cosmetic, so don't try wedging something in there to fill it or gluing it yourself, you'll probably make everything worse

That same guy is now shilling for leather soles. I wore dress shoes with leather soles 5 days/week at my first job out of university because leather soles were cheaper. I wouldn't recommend that to anybody for daily use footwear. If you come in from the rain you need to be careful because anything but carpet now puts you at risk of slipping, especially any floor material that causes your leather soles to make that loud slapping sound he likes so much. The traction problem is real unless you live somewhere it never rains and/or never walk on anything but asphalt and rough-surfaced sidewalks.

Because they are heavy, ankle support is true only if you weight 30lbs and they are not breathable so they will get wet from sweat and water coming down your legs. Unless you hike/work with very low temperatures you're better with breathable shoe with steel toe that will dry fast, gaiters and waterproof socks. Beside it's cheaper for something that won't last a year anyway.

It's been years since I owned hiking boots, for actual hiking. I didn't realize that steeltoe hiking boots were a thing now. Is that preferable for innawoods?

>> No.17671641

No, I’m just mentioning it for work. You don’t need steel toe for hiking because most injuries are caused by a lack of physical fitness and flexibility. And injuries outside this scope aren’t avoided by changing shoes.

FUUUCCCKKKK

Why can't I ever own a single nice thing in my entire life, every time I try and better anything in my life I get fucked over. Getting ready to leave and my shoe hits my fucking bed frame and puts and giant gash in my 3 day old leather sneakers. I'm so fucking pissed right now I'm about to throw these things in the bin.

Please tell me this can be fixed or I'm just going back to wearing cargo shorts, graphic tees and Nike shoes.

It’s feels more narrow even at an E width. It’s probably more comparable to Alden’s Barrie last. I don’t get why the Leo gets so much hype because imo it’s not as good as either of those lasts. If it was a combination last like them it would be better because my biggest complaint with GS is their heelcup/ shafts are wide and their insteps are tight.
