Literally Aventus. Today hitting the gym and letting the mossy-musky dry on my skin to fill the hall.
I finally realising what's behind the magic behind Aventus. It's the musky ambergris drydown, not the fruity topnotes most clones try copy, but fail to replicate the musky-like a second skin, but also fresh drydown.
A fantastic Aventus clone need the high quality of musk in the drydown.

Yeah can't recommend Roelen enough. All of these are super unique without being trash (aside from ambivalence), and really great despite not necessarily fitting my specific gothrock taste. Shipping is free and you get 25 bucks off on your next order with the sample set. These are definitely a must try and to be quite frank you should feel ashamed for posting here if you haven't tried them. Literal bangers. Now I can't decide which one I want to buy. Gotta try them for an entire day on skin that's for sure. You motherfuckers would love these.

>>17664061
Not sure how to describe it I'm not good with words, but I can confirm it's probably the easiest cop out of all of them and I'm wondering if I should get it straight up. Debating between that and Crystal Haze, just because how unique the latter is. Daddy and Broken Bouquet are great, just not sure if something I want to spray myself with every day. The Door is great, although unfortunately it reminds me of industrial kids or posers goths that listen to industrial, even if the drydown makes it better, so I might have to pass. It's really a banger though. Ambivalence smells like weed + grapefruit literally. Fuck that.

Maybe leaning more towards Flower Boy, because Haze is a little bit like fresh laundry and I'm not sure I necessarily want to wear it, despite how unique and great it is. Not sure if you've tried Terror & Magnificence, which is the only fragrance in my godlike tier, but Flower Boy goes in that direction except flipped upside down. It's more aromatic than dark, but still has a bit of mystery to it. Like an alternate universe T&M. Really recommend getting the set. Just to have, even if you don't end up buying a full bottle. All of these are just so well thought out, unique, and great. Probably getting Flower Boy, even though I'm starting to have too many bottles and I don't want that. The 25 bucks discount and free shipping alone make me want to get it, and I just know nobody else will have it.

I'm sitting here smelling Flower Boy and got reminded of that one time in high school where I was late to class because on my way to school I stopped by a flower store to buy a rose for this one bitch. I walk late into class and apologize to my cougar teacher for being late, holding the rose in my hand. She jokingly asks me if it's for her, and I just say no and walk back to my protagonist seat next to the window at the back of the class, while everyone else was all quiet and turning heads looking at me. Waited a couple of periods then ditched school go to this library close by where this one bitch was performing for the day. Plan was to give her the rose and tell her I loved her and all that shit. I walk in late again, standing out like some weirdo. After she finishes I walk up to her and my thing. Some people are shocked and amazed at what I did, but she gave me a subtle rejection, as to not embarrass me in front of everyone, but it was still obvious. No regrets though. She didn't deserve me anyways. I should have given it to my teacher instead. Big ass big tits. Curly read hair and glasses. Only reason I didn't is because she was leading the theater club and the year prior I had quit at last minute, leaving them to search for a substitute main character (Santa Clause) for the play we were preparing (was gonna be at that same library). It would have been awkward after that, otherwise I could have given it to her, then easily bought another rose after school for the other bitch (that didn't deserve me). I had saved up my lunch money for a week so I had flower money to blow. I had also gotten a wacom tablet and drew this and printed it to give to her. I clearly can't draw.

Here's your Flower Boy description. That's what it smells like.

Realistically, is Dylan Blue and the Eros of their choice the best two bottle set for a teen/college kid? DB for daily wear, Eros for dates and parties.
>cheap-ish
>mass appeal
>Versace probably has more brand cachet with teens than a lot of other designer brands.
Looking for ideas to give to younger cousins, etc.

Secondly, what are your thoughts on Eros Flame? I honestly like it myself, though idk if it’s too youthful for a 28 year old, or what scenarios it’d be appropriate or inappropriate in.

>> No.17664547

>>17664452
Honestly if you can get your hands on it, I would try it. Personally I sold my Eros original when I bought Flame, it's just a warmer/spicier/more unique Eros imo.

Quite a few guys are wearing standard Eros these days, so Flame will make you stand out a little more while still keeping the best parts of Eros.

>>17664503
Honestly, yes. At least here in Aus, most younger people would see Versace fragrances as pretty fancy, seeing as they're the upper-tier of the normie-priced designer bottles in every store. Heard a lot of compliments on both Dylan Blue and Eros from that age group particularly.

See above for more of my thoughts about Flame - I'm mid-20s and personally only wear it on nights where I'm clubbing/partying with a crowd my age or younger. If I'm going to more chill parties/events where age is likely to skew more mid-20s and up, I'll go something less 'shouty' instead - but you could probably still go Flame as it really does seem to be liked by almost everyone.

The $100 bottle of blu de chanel you buy at the store has maybe $3 worth of ingredients in it.
The arabs just do GMS analysis and then make a clone with even cheaper lower quality ingredients but they use more of them, the fragrance in a bottle like you pic has maybe $1 worth of ingredients

Appreciate the feedback anon! Honestly, up until I started reading more about fragrances, I would’ve thought of Versace scents as pretty fancy haha. Still a little wild to know that there are 100ml bottles in the USD 400+ range haha.

As for Flame, strongly agree that it presents the good parts of the basic Eros with a more interesting twist. Might have to throw it into the rotation a bit more frequently, it’d be a good incentive to put myself out there more. I’ll see if I can get away with light spraying for slightly more chill events, and let you guys know how it goes haha.

Alright, so in the morning, I couldn't smell Boisee anymore, while the regular EdP was still there. As I went to bed after around 4 hours of testing, I can't say how long it really lasted, but it certainly has less performance than Gentleman EdP. The difference in projection was quite obvious the whole time, though. Boisee really stayed closer to the skin. I'd say that Boisee lasts around 6-7 hours based on how much of it was still there after 4 hours, but doesn't really project that much. Performance-wise, that might be acceptable, but Gentleman EdP mogs the shit out of it.

>Why
1. Necessity rather than choice: Consuming is a basic human need, as food and beverages provide the vital nutrients required for survival. Unlike hobbies, which are activities people engage in for pleasure or relaxation during their leisure time, consuming is essential for maintaining our health and well-being.

2. Lack of creativity and skill development: Hobbies often involve learning, developing, and mastering skills, which can foster personal growth and a sense of accomplishment. Consuming, as a passive activity, lacks opportunities for creativity and skill development compared to hobbies such as cooking, gardening, or even food photography.

3. Limited social interaction: Many hobbies encourage social interaction, promoting bonding with like-minded individuals, teamwork, and communication. Although consuming food and drink can be a social activity, simply eating and drinking do not inherently lead to such interactions.

4. Absence of challenge and progression: Engaging in a hobby often includes challenges that individuals need to overcome, providing a sense of achievement and personal growth. In contrast, consuming rarely provides such challenges, as eating and drinking are natural, innate behaviors for humans.

5. Individual versus collective contribution: Hobbies often have the potential to contribute positively to society, such as through art, shared knowledge, or environmental initiatives. Conversely, overconsumption, such as excessive food and drink intake, can contribute to health issues and social problems like obesity and alcoholism.

>> No.17664804

>>17664802
First point is invalid, reducing consuming to just basic human needs is retarded. The rest of the points.

2. "Often"
3. "Many"
4. ""Often"
5. "Often"

That means that in every point you made there are exceptions which by definition, "consuming" could fit into

Flame is a weird name for it, honestly.

The biggest difference to the EdT is the top:
No apple or mint at all, replaced with a blend of citruses, with a strong tendency towards orange peel. Fragrantica says there’s rosemary and pepper as well, and I get very little pepper beyond a slight warmth, but the herbaceousness comes in strong. Relative to designer frags in 2023 it’s almost a little retro, although not really compared to actual retro scents or anything niche going for an old school vibe.

What I get is pretty close to regular Eros in the dry down, mostly creamy vanilla, along with cedar, sandalwood, etc. On fragrantica they claim there’s a little bit of oakmoss in there, but I can’t comment. I’m not an acute enough sniffer to detect a minor note amidst the general vibe of a scent, so I do what I can haha.

In general, it’s a warmer scent, but for something named “flame” the spice is very much not the dominant impression, at least compared to Fireball whiskey or a frag like Spicebomb. I will say that it might have the same problem as a lot of citrusy scents where some will think it smells like cleaning spray.

I like it a lot, personally. I can’t really comment on its appeal to women, but I don’t see why they’d dislike it.

Guys help me clear up a couple of things
Which Invictus is better? The Invictus or Invictus Platinum? For me Platinum smells too sweet and I perceive it as what you would get if you would mix Invictus with Ultramale (which I already have). I'm leaning towards classic Invictus...
Also what are some good Gym frags for someone in mid 20's? My gym has good air circulation and I'm also thinking of 1-2 sprays of Invictus here because it's aquatic and minty fresh and still noticable. I don't like AdG profondo for gym because it turns out too sour; same goes for citrusy frags such as Versace pour homme and Dior Homme cologne, etc. Sauvage might be too heavy at times and Eros is just a bit too sweet from vanillia (although it reminds me a bit of Invictus). It feels like they are constantly trying to take control and feed you samples instead of just letting you take your time and try what you want. Like is it looked down upon to just take 20 smelling card things and just try shit?

Even Amouage has dupes lol.

I like Overdose and Oud Aquilaria from Oman Luxury, and Meydan from Spirit of Dubai

>Do people in perfume stores care if you just sample everything by yourself?
No. That’s why there are testers on the shelves.
>It feels like they are constantly trying to take control and feed you samples instead of just letting you take your time and try what you want.
They are doing their job, and often they earn a commission per sale.
If you want them not to be like that you have to go to a real perfume store, people who work in department stores are usually people who have no idea of perfumes beyond Sauvage, Le Male, and Invictus.

anon wtf
they are in the business of selling frags, not in the business of "we will just let him smell everything with no sales push at all, who cares if he buys something when he leaves"
don't be a sperg about it and you can still check out whatever you want

If you wear 1-2 sprays of Invictus to the gym, I'll wear 40 sprays of Sauvage Elixir. So my recommendation would be something that can mog 40 sprays of Sauvage Elixir with only 1-2 sprays, otherwise nobody will ever smell how much you stand out, because I flood your gym and fuck everyone's nose, whether they like it or not. I don't want to smell your bubblegum trash mixed with sweat while working out and I will make sure I won't.

The Legend Spirit I got is similar to Prada L'Homme... or am I tripping? It's just floral, sweet, silky/musky (smells amazing though).

>It's a pretty strong, very masculine scent, but for me it very much seems like a fragrance of an older gentleman, it's just the association it brings to mind. I do like the scent, but I feel ambivalent towards wearing it

All of that means "dated" in English.
