Why are cowboy boots hated?
>looks good
>last a long time and repairable
>surprisingly light and breathable compared to other boots

i don't hate them, but they aren't great for walking a lot or being your feet all the time. even ropers get tiring. if i had a more sedentary job or actually rode horses i would probably get another pair.

Fuck that, I love them wear a pair at least once a week. I have three regular leather and two lizard, going to expand into caiman, gator, and ostrich. I've multiple compliments on them from women, which is shocking to me because I think I'm barely average looking. If you want a pair, get a pair, wear them with confidence.
If you walk around all sad sacking it then yeah they will looking like shit, otherwise they're just a Chelsea with a higher shaft. Bonus points for the heel, mine all have a two inch heel so I'm over 6'5 when I have them on.

Cowboy boots offer less ankle support than lace-up boots. This is an undisputed fact.

They're not all pointy or slick soled, square toes are probably the most common these days and tons of people wear modern ropers with rubber soles that have tread etc. My everyday boots are plain brown round toe ropers and they just look like generic slip-on shoes when worn with correct-length pants/jeans over them, but are way more comfortable than any regular fashion shoe/boot I've ever worn.

As others said, it keeps the wearers foot hooked into the stirrups, which means they are better able to keep their body stable when riding a horse. This is actually the original purpose of raised heels on shoes, and it became part of men's fashion as a way for nobility to signify that they could afford to ride horses. It wasn't until later that women co-opted raised heels because women are always stealing men's fashion.

Wrangler cowboy cut
You probably genuinely have to import them from some western supply store in the us or ebay or something

I‘ve imported the wrangler cowboy dress pants once and I like the fit very much!
But the import tax is quite high and dealing with the customs is quite a hastle, so I‘d prefer a model that’s available in Europe

what's cowboy cut? are they flared out at the bottom to make the space for the boots? because I hate jeans that aren't tapered at the bottom or at least straight. can I even wear cowboy boots with tapered jeans or there isn't enough room?

I can't stand pants that are too long and drape over my shoes either, but they are flared out to fit the boot shaft. Just get them a size shorter if you're worried about the fit

>what's cowboy cut? are they flared out at the bottom to make the space for the boots?
Yes, also called boot cut, they are nice because they have room for boots without being a big ridiculous flare that looks like disco pants

Hollister jeans work surprisingly well with cowboy boots. I get the slim straights and go one size longer than I would for regular shoes and they look really good. I think they have stores in Germany and they're pretty cheap.

Why? Because it looks like fucking dogshit lmao. Ropers are the only bsrely passable boots in this thread, and that's simply because they're the least western looking out of all of them. Aside from looks, cowboys just fit weird, are not good for any sort of extended walking, and are basically only useful for riding horses and larping.I can't stand ther pnw/engineer trend, but at least those aren't pointy toed monstrosities. Not to mention that they basically force you to wear ugly bootcut/baggy jeans cause of the stupid shafts. 0/10

I wear straight cut with mine, no shaft imprint at all. I also wear the correct size so the pant leg doesn't have break/bag. Seems to me you're just creatively incapable of putting together outfits around one item of clothing.

Ostrich aren’t boring like leather cowboy boots but not overly gaudy for everyday wear in Texas.

In the UK cowboy boots are in for girls atm. Why it hasn't carried over to the guys I have no idea, it's a shame. Some guys wear Chelsea boots but they're all noel fielding level ponces.
