the smoke jumper is a real work boot. it's got a very high arch that can be difficult to break in. unless this a boot that will spend most of it's time in the woods, i'd just get the bounty hunter. it's going to be more comfortable for any kind of casual wear.

I recently bought smokes a couple months ago. Never had a boot with a high arch before, so it was a shock at first. The first week is a tough break in, because it is a stiff arch. After the first week, its pretty much broken in. It takes a couple weeks for the upper to break in and it has a tendency to pinch or bite the front of your ankle. Lace them using the 132 method for the first few weeks.

In terms of comfort, I wouldn’t say they are the most comfortable, but that really depends on what you’re looking for. I wanted a durable work boot that I could also take on long hikes and not destroy my feet. On the hikes I’ve taken them on, I’ve had zero chafing and zero blisters.
