Are cold weather fragrances even real? I get that certain fragrances fit the overall vibe of autumn or winter maybe even specifically christmas. but when are you ever actually in the cold for hours at a time? these often heavy and sweet fragrances can become cloying and few would wear them in warmer weather but are you not... inside when it is cold most of the time? at someones house your place of work, the supermarket etc. those places have temps that are closer to spring or summer evenings.

Want something similar in feel/smell to Green Irish Tweed without being a tweak of it like vintage Cool Water or Bond No 9, and not a clone of is like Tres Nuit or Egra. I don't want to smell like exactly like GIT, I want something green, fresh with a little musk at the base. Is there anything similar or should I just shut the fuck up and buy GIT again?

You gotta find the right stuffs for your skin chemistry. Also moisturize before putting any fragrance on, not too soon before but like 30-60 minutes. Roja Dove says to moisturize after putting it on but idk if that really works, I'll try it sometime.

all of Bourdon's perfumes have the same DNA, if you like cool water and green Irish you willl like erolfa. i would not recommend erolfa because it will not project and only last a couple of hours on my skin. before you buy anything FB especially a 250 dollars you need to test it a couple of times, buy a 10ml decant.

Aqua Fahrenheit somewhat went that way with toned down violet leaves from its original DNA, which just means it didn't smell like gasoline, then put some citrus and mint on a base of vetiver and supposedly leather but i didn't smell it that much if at all in comparison to the original bottle.
Shame it's discontinued because i loved it but supposedly Mercedes Benz Sport smells like it, except vetiver chemical base moved to patchouli chemical base, also Alfred Dunhill Fresh goes for that route but this last one is a batch loonie that also doesn't last, that one i checked and it's practically a blind buy. These are considered fresh fougeres so same genre but if i learned something is that fougere is used strangely, i would not put Kouros and Cool Water in the same bag despite being considered such.

Verdict: opening reads more floral-fresh than strictly citrusy to me but it’s nice. Something in the mid I don’t like, that I also didn’t like in YSL Y EDP. Maybe the sage note? spirito fiorentino is her version of b540 extrait, it's one of my favourite b540s as well, very heavy on iodine and suade but most importantly it does the b540 airy sweetness properly, you might want to try stramonio from V canto, it's also done by tirenzi, and its another interpretation of b540, but instead of suade it goes for leather, and is less sweet.

Acqua Di Parma - Colonia Essenza is another safe recommendation. Lemons and soap, but it's just really good. Can usually be had for a good price on discounters.
Davidoff - Zino is the king of the cheapies. You should be able to find it for between $20-30 on discounters. Go to the mall and smell Tom Ford Beau Du Jour because it smells 90% as good as that.
