This may be my own hang up but I envy these larger breasted women being so casually braless. I hate wearing bras in summer and these women look so comfy, but where I live people would cry out like I was legit naked if I did it. As it is I only wear them if I have to go out.

Anyone know if going braless at the time was generally accepted, or if these women were getting socially harassed by normies?

>If you've never tried them, don't be afraid.

I've always been a boot person, but largely wrote off cowboy boots as being something you can only wear if you do, well, cowboy stuff. However after getting into them for work (did land surveying) I realized they're a pretty great piece of gear for anyone that wants something simple, yet still striking in terms of silhouette and wear. Think the formality and fit of a Chelsea boot but far more rugged in use. Also it's pretty damn nice to come home after work and just be able to toss the things off without much trouble.

I would recommend starting with a 10 or 11 inch roper in a standard leather (you still need to learn to take care of them) before branching out into more exotic toe or leather styles, else you might look too much of a goober.

Agreed, I think having belts as an extra accessorizing element is dope. The shirts are tucked in in almost every single one of these pics, including the ones where they're just wearing t-shirts.

You just gotta love that nothing in these pics feels forced, the people seem so natural and effortless.Take something like this for example. It's basically the exact same fit someone in like 1975 would wear, but it just doesn't work the same way, and you intrinsically know it.

Well and truly the last one I got. Another great pic of Stallone. Love the fit of his jeans.

I think these pics show us something. 70s-80s fashion is not far from the goofy caricature that we've all seen growing up. You can definitely pull off a lot of these fits today. Maybe not some of the wackier ones like >>17549117 but for the most part, if you've got a good pair of thick jeans (I get a Stallone-style drape with Levi's 511s), some cowboy boots (or vintage sneaks), and a statement piece (belt, glasses, chain, etc.) you can pull off a vintage inspired look pretty easily. I think vintage looks (whether it be from the 70s, 80s, 90s, or even Y2k) are coming back big among the Zoomers, so now more than ever is the time to try it out.

Also, grow out your hair. Try a beard. Try a mustache. I think the pandemic was truly the death knell of the fade/undercut. Almost every younger dude I see out and about nowadays has longer hair, oftentimes even a mullet. Say what you want about the zoomies, but other than the broccoli top I'm digging their hair trends. As a guy with naturally curly hair, I've kept it short for years, but in the past four months I've been growing it out and loving it. Synergizes quite well with vintage fits, obviously.

Different anon but adding on: I live in an east city, I wear cowboy boots and I've received nothing but compliments on them. I even wear them with sport coats, they're more of less the same profile as a sleek Chelsea boot. I'm already tall, the heel on my boots pushes me up to 6'5 so when I wear my boots I loom over people , it's great!

I just thought of something : Short bros should try cowboy boots. Nothing exotic at first, just black or brown. They're manly and sleek and the heels give you another 1.5-2 inches height.

Now I'm thinking about girls wearing revealing yoga pants/crop tops somewhere mundane like the grocery store. No one say anything to their face about it. So since the prevailing culture for the last 30+ years has been "be upset about SH", then that seems to have translated into SH being less openly done by strangers.

If I go braless to the grocery store, I wonder how many people will have the balls to actually break that norm and say something. And then if they do, I mean common I have my tits out I know what I'm doing, I could just choose to not be mad about it and take the compliment. Interesting stuff to think about, thanks anon.

They aren't pleated jeans, they're just jeans with a crease ironed in them. This used to be a common practice when "dressing up" jeans, i.e. wearing them with a sportcoat. These photos are from the early 80s, and pleated jeans were more of a late 80s innovation.

Got to agree, cowboy boots are unsung heroes. I live in a pretty urban area and get complimented on mine all the time. You don't have to wear them in a Western style by any means.Got my eye on some suede Tecovas, but I'd also love a pair of black cowboy boots seeing all the ways they're getting pulled off in this thread.

Dependent on the era.
I used to own a '84 Berlinetta that shat on almost every modern car I've driven in terms of maneuverability.
But I've driven a 70s Ford LTD and that thing was actually awful. Surprised they were used as cop cars.
