Took me roughly half a year, I had a pretty short mullet in August. Not gonna post pic bc it looks embarrassing lol.
I shampoo like twice a week. I use a hair soap bar instead of liquid shampoo becaus it makes my hair much less puffy, and it also seems I lose less hair that way but I can't tell for sure.

I think what you're doing is genuinely one of the least attractive things you could do, and I'm positive that even for 0.001% of women that think it's cool or interesting will find it mind numbingly annoying after putting in one (1) month with you.
It's one thing to enjoy the 50's aesthetic, but to actually go all in and also style your hair like that is a psychotic thing to do. When I say I dress a bit goofy, I mean sometimes I wear a shirt with a big panda on it, or maybe I'll be wearing my fun mustard yellow jeans today, not "le wrong generationing" as a dedicated lifestyle.
And to be perfectly clear, you shouldn't be dressing for women, you should be dressing for what you find interesting or what speaks to you, but at the same time your presenting yourself to the world with the way you dress yourself, and to present yourself in this fashion is objectively going to push people away, whether they are potential partners or potential friends. If you were simply wearing 50's shit I'd be all for it, and might even cop some inspiration, but going so far as to almost always have your hair styled in that fashion is insane, and surely there's more to it than just the hair and the clothes. I swear to god if you buy a 50's car and get a black and white tv you genuinely have a mental illness.

I'm due for a haircut and I think I want to fix what I've got going but I don't know how. It feels very poofy and bulbous and the sides and back, how can I fix this? I'm also up for different things if anyone has suggestions

need to get a pretty short haircut, get rid of those split ends so your hair can bounce back
don't wash your hair too much
argan oil is your friend
if you need to blow dry your hair do it on the coldest setting and never fully dry your hair.
you've got a good colour and the ability to grow it long, just needs some tlc

I'm 25, when I was in school, I don't remember so many (white) people having curly or very wavy hair. Is there something zoomers (even though I technically am one) who are near highschool/graduation age are doing in order to create the broccoli look? I’ve been trying to grow my hair out to Timothe Chalamet length (from Dune) for like a year now but it always gets extremely dense and Afro-y and I go to a salon and tell them to keep the length, just thin it, I’m trying to get long hair like timothee chalamet in dune. And they always take too much off.
So now I’m thinking about just buying thinning shears and just thinning out the sides. It gets so wide and thick in the sides and it poofs out really stupidly.
Should I keep going bros, or just give up and go back to my usual corner part?
Product: shampoo once every two weeks, condition every day, and I don’t wash out the conditioner all the way, then I let my hair dry while wearing a beanie.
