Share different tips you've learned for caring and styling it in this thread and show off your style or what goals you have for it.

Whibois are free to drop in and post advice they know/or just call us slurs as well.

I'm learning to actually do something with my hair for once
Once I get it detangled, I'm going to learn how to 2 strand twist
Might shape it up past that, but I don't think I'm going to shave the sides down

Would love some tips or tutorials

latino here.

been growing it out for about 13 months. Looks great after showering conditioning, shampooing(only a couple times a month) + additional leave in curl enhancing conditioner and olive oil. Just started using a microfiber towel for drying, which helps keep it look nice. When it dries out after a day or two it's an absolute bitch it looks terrible.

Learn about hair typing system 1-4 and a-c. It's the best system we have of category at the moment. Mix hair is typically type 3, black is typically type 4. If you have this hair its fucking thirsty, regardless of your race. Even the Chosen people can weigh in on that. Find your hair porosity and proceed to try and squeeze as much moisture into those strands as possible. Youtube is full of toxic angry bitter lonely black women who will help your hair look so good you wonder why they keep gluing horse weave to their heads.
