As in where am i buying it?

From the UK. Guy selling it is a uk vendor on ebay, seems to auction a lot of vintage seikos and citizens at strangely low prices. Also strangely enough i have seen some indian frankenwatch vendors use that very same strap on their watches which isnt filling me with confidence.

Also as a poorfag i am actually considering buying a seiko 5 frankenwatch. They apparently are all seiko parts most of the time with original movements and i actually dig the brighter, newer dials and crazy hands. This vid really changed my opinion on them for entry level watches.

Alright so here goes

"Suggest a watch for me."
> Your budget
Up to about 1k? Preferably less of course.
> Watch type, e.g. dress, diver, pilot
A hybrid of dress and field watch I guess. Think shape of the classic Rolex 114270. Something like pic related maybe minus the date window.
> Movement, e.g. automatic, hand wound, quartz
This is the part where it gets tricky: solar
> Desired features, e.g. water resistance, day/date, 2nd time zone
As plain as possible, date window is optional.
> Preferred strap option, e.g. leather, nylon, bracelet
Bracelet.
> Wrist size or desired watch size
Preferably 36mm to 38mm.

Does such a thing exist? I looked at the usual suspects for solar watches and Seiko etc. mostly only carry divers or just plain ugly watches.
How feasible would it be to build such a watch myself? I know there is a community for custom Seiko mods for example, but I couldn't find anything for solar movements.

Honestly don't really get why brand heritage is such a big deal to people, some of the best high end brands have been around less than 30 years.

As far as good things to say about Rolex I will give them credit for being fairly robust and reliable watches as well as keep pretty accurate time. I've also heard good things about their deployant's, but I don't really have any experience with them since most of the Rolex's I've handled have been vintage.

Real talk, where the hell do people get these really bad fakes that aren't even of real models? I kinda like the sleezy look of them.

If i wanted my watch to have a Seiko logo on it, i'd buy a Seiko. If i was poor and wanted to wear a watch that looks like an Aquanaut i'd buy a cheap, obvious chink homage of an Aquanaut. What i wouldn't do is buy (or make) a watch that looks like an Aquanaut but says Seiko on it. I find it hypocritical to myself. Lugs are weird but surprisingly nice, they move all the way down, they are always hugging the wrist,it is a fairly big watch 37mmx27mm, with extended lugs 51mm, but since the lugs moce down the watch wears way smaller and never have lug overhang. What I find weird is the hand treatment, apparently they look black, but in reality they are steel coloured bit they have some heat point, you can see the steel turned blue at the middle of each needle, so at distance they both look black. Sonfar the watch feels really nice, slim, curved and you dont notice its weight, it is my first time wearing a square watch and feels different than my other watches. It was an impulse purchase, I liked the aesthetics of vintage watches with small seconds and there is not a high amount of square watches with small seconds. Shockingly he’s white. I genuinely hate these people. The Rolex subreddit for watches says it all about who owns wants and owns Rolexes. Having to suck the ADs dick. Meanwhile there’s prestigious luxury watches you can buy like a normal person where the watch has better complications and the AD just sells you the watch or you go gray and buy it used where the price is less. All the effort and money to be associated with these fagotrons

That being said Swatch Group is fucking huge and depending on how vertically integrated they are it might end up being that Tissot really are made with primarily Swiss parts if they've already got the all their own suppliers for crystals, dials and cases, etc in Switzerland, again the cost saving is likely in being almost entirely made autonomously.
