posted on previous thread, will post again one last time.
Third worlder here, found this cheap Seiko (one on the left), guy has no info, no model, no box. Converting it'd be about 20 US bucks.
Googled "17 jewels" which is written on its dial and found the model 4206. Some looked pretty similar and found one that looks exactly the same (on the right).
Was worried it was fake because there is no Seiko logo on the dial but googling it I found the logo can fall off, and that the logo is attached to the two dots on the dial which the one I found has.
Completely ignorant when it comes to watches, don't want to spend a lot of money on a new/semi orient/seiko but also don't want a tacky knock off.
Might say fuck it and buy this one, either to wear it as is or maybe in the near future try to replace the seiko dial logo.
thoughts?

According to the whole watch industry. Rolexes have been praised for their reliability by pretty much every watchmaker (Philippe Dufour or Roger Smith for example). Their after-sale service is also unmatched.
IF your Rolex has a problem, you can just walk into your AD, and there will be someone there to fix it (unlike other watch brands that will send your watch to Switzerland).

When I took my Submariner in for service, it was done in two weeks and everything was done locally at my AD. When I broke my Omega playing golf (fuck you Sergio Garcia for advertising an Aqua Terra as watch you can play golf wearing), I took it for service at the same AD because they supposedly service Omega. Credit score matters only partially, it's how responsible you are when it comes to loans and loan repayment.
Say you have a guy A and a guy B. A has a credit score of 6969 but his credit history isn't much (small loans). Guy B has a credit score of 4200. His credit history is ballin: large loans, timely payments, loans are well spread in terms of big they were.
I'm the bank. I'm more likely to give a loan to the guy B.
Romans and Sumerians sure knew how to work money when they laid the groundwork for modern banking.

You just need to get in touch with the right department of the right CC company. You aren't a high enough flyer for an amex black card but there are other cards with similar terms that you can get involved in. i have big loans, not finished paying any off yet but haven't missed any payments. same for credit cards

you really should use a credit card instead of debit. number one it's safer for you money not getting stolen. besides that you get a free 1-3% back on everything you buy. free money and you don't have to think about it

>Well, that's the problem.
I don't think necessarily not paying off a loan yet will have a large impact on credit card lines. I mean, yeah to some degree it would but for example when i got my car loan, they only gave me 70k because specifically i had never had a car loan in my life. so even if my credit score was good and and income good, i haven't had that type of loan before. I'm guessing it's similar for mortgage, most people have 30 year mortgages.

Poorfag here. Just got this Seiko 5 from my grandfather (and in fact my first ever Seiko and Automatic watch). But the strap on it is really small, won't even shut close on my arm, and it's already set at the limit. I've been looking for some replacements and measured the Watch as an 18mm but I'm still unsure if I'm measuring it right (because I've only ever messed with simpler basic Casio watches) and can't find any specs online, only some people selling them. Do you guys know anything about it? It's this 7019-7120 from picrel

Because you're income isn't enough, homie. If you're not making six figures, there is no way any credit card company will extend you that amount of credit (especially now). For example, Amex's hard limit on actual credit cards is 35k total credit line unless you are a Platinum or Centurion card holder and qualify for a credit line specific to those cards. If you do make that much and have other lines of credit, make sure you fill out your income properly. Equifax/TransUnion/Experian know what you make.

Pawn shop near where I live has an AP Cobra on sale for just under 400,000 yen (about $3k USD). Have no clue about the condition, paperwork, etc., I literally saw the ad for it on a flyer that a dude handed me when I was walking in the grocery store next door.

It's a decent bit of money for me but I can definitely cover it. I don't know if I want to resell it, I think it would be cool to just say I own an AP and maybe wear it when I go out. It's not really "my" style but it looks pretty eyecatching and it might get me laid, who knows.

I don't get the hate for Grand Seiko.
Sure some of their designs are ugly but their most simple watches are pretty good (picrel). They also managed to develop their own tech and a unique design language (textured dials and shit). And from what I can tell their marketing is alright and very straightforward ("this watch was inspired by some river, it's nice buy it"). No pozzed shit or cringe brand ambassadors.

I mean, I would rather wear pic related than any gay ass Omega.

It’s a quartz Tank, small. Really dressy and works for symposiums and conferences.

The AT is a bit boring, I have the blue dial one, really clean, sterile almost if it wasn’t for the logo and the date window. It’s nice, not an eye catcher, neutral but keeps time perfectly, +/-5 in the first days of wearing it and then it stays at a steady 0 just like the black bay 58

Your watch can violate only one. 2 violations makes it a fag watch, regardless of price.

1) Style without substance
2) Form without function
3) Function without purpose (goes for chrono fags who don't race, also for dive watches for non-divers).
