No, they're trash. In fashion, there is a principle that is most easily compared to the security/freedom argument. If you give up freedom for security, you gain neither and lose both? Same with practicality and aesthetics.

If you are sacrificing the practicality of your clothes for the aesthetic (especially when the aesthetic was originally one of practicality) then everyone is going to think less of you once they realize those aren't actually boots.
