This may sound ridiculous but desperate times call for desperate measures. I've been trying to get a new Batgirl (126710BLNR) from a local AD and have no purchase history. know this can take months but most likely years in my case. I really don't want to wait that long and don't want to buy watchesI don't want/need to get higher up on some list.

I've been researching some of the reps (guys) on IG and see that frequent a popular gay club around town. I'm happily married but hear me out. Should try to frequent this club, run into them, and really build a close relationship with them? don't mind doing this and think it could potentially work. I'm assuming they'd be more likely to help someone they're close with. If this could save me years then it could be worth it.

Has anyone else done this? Should do it? My wife doesn't care. I don't mind and might enjoy it and may end up making a good friend in the process. TL;DR; Multiple reps at a local AD frequent a gay club and l'm wondering if should start going to hopefully run into them, build a bond, and get their help to get my grail.

Brilliant watch.
Wears larger than it is.
As with all Casios, I hate the straps.
The CA-53 takes 20mm straps, though the clearance for the straps is minimal.
If you get a replacement strap, try to find one that's 1mm if possible.
I think a 1.2mm might work, though you'd likely have to compress the strap a bit.
Might bend the pins.
Watch Gecko has several strap options that are 1mm.
And they do fit the clearances of all Casios (get the correct lug size, though).
I love my CA-53.

Newfag just getting into watches here, I've compiled this list of models that look interesting, mostly between $200-$500 (Seiko, Hamilton, Orient, Timex, etc.) but now I'm thinking I should just get one $1k-$2k (Longines, Stowa) watch and call it a day. Is it better to have a rotation of cheaper watches or one holy grail (relative to my purchasing power) watch?

Help me out fellas, I need a sports watch. One that can function as a stopwatch and also sound an alarm after a set countdown, but one that just sounds briefly, like a beep or two then done without having to manually disable the alarm.
Ideally one that could be set to sound briefly and repeatedly every minute, or every two minutes etc without having to reset the timer every time. Heartrate monitor would be nice. I don't want any smart shit that has to connect to apps or devices or the internet.

I know fuck all about watches but I imagine that these features must exist, I just don't know where to look. The few I've looked at just say stopwatch with no mention of countdown alarms, alarm sound duration or repeated alarms.

I don't really care about looks, I'm more interested in function but it would be nice for it to not look retarded, I'll get a dress watch later for looks but this one is just for fitness. Budget doesn't matter, I'm prepared to pay for quality and want something that will last but not looking for some meme high price status symbol.

Any suggestions? Or somewhere to look at least. Thanks in advance

I guess what I meant is that most watches posted here are mechanical watches, you'll probably find a lot of Casio with auto repeating alarms, but I don't think you'll find a lot of different watches with both that and a heart rate monitor. And if you also want it to then look like a steel sports watch you'll find mostly smartwatches.

What's a good low-end (sub £1k) watch to wear that I can wear casually, I don't wear suits regularly so It wouldn't be dressed up often, or how would I narrow down what to get without getting a bad watch or a copy cat model.

Btw, to my knowledge, the fastest tourbillon out there is the 24 seconds Tourbillon from Greubel Forsey. As its name indicates, it makes a full revolution every 24 seconds. It totals 3,600 revolutions per day, which is a lot given that most tourbillons go at 1,440 revs per day. Here is an example:

Also, the giant size has a purpose. Ease of legibility in a rickity old 1920 airplane that's vibrating and bouncing around, as well as being able to use it with gloved hands.
