Boot General - The Purpetrator EDITION

What do I need to care for my boots?
>Old cotton t shirt (one for cleaning, another for applying conditioners)
>Horsehair brush ($10-15)
>Wooden shoe trees ($10-15)
>Light conditioner like Lexol/Bck4
>Heavy conditioner (if you live in terrible snow/rain areas) Sno seal/Obernauf LP

How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

>Should I buy turdsdays/soloshits/doc shitans?
no
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good
no. you will waste your time and money and still have uncomfortable footwear at the end of the day. spend the extra $100 and get something real.

Like the other guy said, my engineers are really fast to put on compared to lace-up boots.
Thanks to the long-ish shaft, I don't even have to bend down all that far to reach the pulltab.
The thing that takes the most time in the entire putting-on process is getting my pant legs to go over the shafts.

Taking them off is fast too, but it does require a bit of body language if they're even a little tight.
Or you can just get a boot jack.

I have an unusual request of an anon willing to grant me a charity. Im looking for the sleeve diameter of a carhartt jacket, but it has to be in size Large or XLarge. Im using it for reference for a jacket im thinking of having made for me.
To get the diameter of a sleeve, you lay it flat on a horizontal surface, table/ bed, and flatten it out into a 2D shape, then get a ruler or tailors tape and measure one end to the other end, width ways, not length ways, typically taken at the elbow. This will help me in my own measurements.
Do this for me and i'll dance at your wedding!

but why doesn't parkhurst improve on the indy if they're going to shamelessly copy it
i mean grant stone can deliver a raised stitch on a machine in their brass boot for the same price as parkhurst, also all the loafers out there have it, so it can't be that hard or particularly more expensive to produce
it's the only thing that these boots have that makes them distinct from the rest and it's so half assed and flat it might just as well be simple two rows of contrasting back stitch side by side
