So, I thought I lost my keys whilst drunk at a golf tournament (I didn't), so I put my beater Omega AT on so I didn't lose it and played the rest of the round. Apparently, Co-Axial movements aren't as shock resistant as they claim to be (despite advertising a fucking golf model), and my beater has now stopped. How the fuck do I send this to Omega? The website isn't exactly clear, and the closest boutique is in Cincinnati. I am actually going to Kings Island next week, so be driving through Cincinnati, but I would like to just mail the fucker to a US service center. Anyone have any experience with this?

I assume omegas are fragile garbage. I wear my Seiko Turtle pretty much 24/7 including fishing, playing volleyball, mountain biking, swimming, you get the idea. It's related to the size of the objects one is observing, small gears and mechanisms require the quartz crystal magnification devices operate at their highest capacity much as they do the actual eye itself, and much as the eyes get tired, watchmaker loupes suffer strain under load.
Conversely, if the objects one is looking at are very big, such as buildings or planets, there's hardly any stress to a lens at all, thus we can send telescopes like Hubble or the recent new-fangled and tangled Webb into space for years without every needing to replace the worn out quartz glass.

I’m not opposed to people buying replicas, especially for mass produced stuff like Rolex and Omega. I don’t do it but I also don’t blame people who do. i like all of these watches.
the Tudor is my favorite of these and the Omega is my least favorite, but i did like it when i bought it. right now the crown tube is stripped and i'm hesitant to get it fixed. i'd like to keep it for hiking and casual use, but it will just get wrecked since i can't screw the crown down. the resale value is pretty low for these now.
the Seiko are great low-cost watches and the Obris Morgan is cool too for an inexpensive watch.
i kinda wish i'd bought a Sub when i was still into divers, but i have more than enough of them at this point.
my daily is a Datejust 36 now -- i like the size after wearing huge watches for years.
