Is it worth learning to use a sewing machine so you can tailor your own clothes? My body has changed a lot in the last ten years (lifting weights, gaining and losing fat), and it'll change even more in the next ten. If you have a big chest and shoulders your shirts will be made for fat guys like Meat Loaf.. Take your shirt to the seamstress and get her to take in the waist, taper that shirt so it looks like what you wanted when you paid for it. Trousers too...It's not an expensive service. Cheaper than buying a sewing machine and laboring over your clothes.
